Topaz Studio, the new subscription collection of all Topaz apps, begins rolling out today. Topaz Studio includes 7 products, over 100 AI image/video models, unlimited cloud image processing, and unlimited local processing.
In 2025, we’ve released dozens of new AI models like Astra, Bloom, Recover, and Starlight. Previously, you had to individually purchase the ones you wanted. Now, you get access to everything at the cost of just two individual products.
In that spirit, the Studio release features several major new models:
- Wonder in Topaz Photo and Topaz Gigapixel. The world’s first “distilled agentic” model that uniquely understands which corrections to apply for natural results.
- Standard MAX in Topaz Photo and Topaz Gigapixel. Lightweight diffusion image model that delivers fast and clean upscaling with lower hardware requirements.
- Starlight Sharp in Topaz Video. Heavyweight video restoration model that restores low-quality videos with more definition.
- Nyx XL in Topaz Video. Video noise reduction model that preserves detail while removing noise with improved temporal consistency.
These models - and all future ones - are included in your Topaz Studio plan for no additional charge. In addition to local processing, Topaz Studio also features unlimited image cloud processing for non-batch workflows, which will greatly improve the experience for long-running processes.
As part of this change, perpetual licenses will no longer be available for our products. This helps keep our products accessible, but also ensures we can operate sustainably with our massively increased investment in model training.
Speaking of which, in the next month you can expect us to deliver several new major releases in Studio:
- Face Realism ensures photorealistic skin texture when enhancing real-world and AI-generated images.
- Subject Preservation perfectly preserves the identity of people and other subjects with even highly creative upscaling.
- Mosaic is a completely new product that specializes in restoring family photos and archival images.
We’re really excited about these improvements and can’t wait to get them into your hands.
Founding customers
If you’ve previously purchased our software, we wanted you to receive the best possible outcome from this change. As a founding customer with an active upgrade license, you can expect the following:
- Your existing perpetual licenses remain yours forever.
- You’re grandfathered into your existing upgrade pricing for the corresponding Studio product - a substantial discount.
- If you maintain 2 active upgrade licenses, you get access to the full Topaz Studio at no additional cost.
- You get local access to the Starlight models and the new Wonder model, normally reserved for Pro only.
