It appears that it is mostly contrast , not color, that is off. You are likely using Adjust Lighting and it is set wrong. Go to Edit > Preferences >Adjust lighting and change the RAW setting. Also you can change the amount of adjust in the Adjust lighting function.

The image I uploaded is with the “Show Original” button pressed.
And I set ALL settings to “Reset to Default Settings.”
And changing the “Adjust lighting” settings makes only a small difference in the image.
In this screenshot, you can see that the Show Original is pressed.
Then support is your best option, and they will probably want your original to test unless it is a known problem. Good luck.

Hi Peter,
I’m still only seeing re-export from tpai to c1 as a tiff, even using this procedure - C1 creates a dng and tpai imports it, but the export to Capture One dialog only gives me the tiff option still.

Mike M’s answer is right.
Once the Support folks get your tech spt request they will email you and you can email them back. They are responsive (and very pleasant to deal with).

Sorry Peter, does not work. When I choose “ edit with” and use TAI (not processing) than I only can “send” a .tiff or .jpg to TAI……Both ways I get a .tiff file back in Capture one. So uninstalling TAI3, back to 2.4.2

Hi David, in my post I did not mention that I am still using Windows 10. I did another test today with my laptop which is running Windows 11. Results are fine when I use TPAI as described. One thing to consider is if you use either “adjust lighting” or “balance color” or both the result will be tiff and not .dng
No idea if Topaz will change this in future versions.

I just did an uninstall/reinstall of 3.1.2 and still can only export to Capture One as a tiff (windows 11, tpai 3.1.2, c1 16.4.4, using edit with (not open with) photo ai (not process with photo ai)). I’ll keep playing around but I’m not keen on doing a full reinstall of C1 just to make a plugin work.
“Edit with” does force c1 to make a .dng and load it into the current (“Recent Imports”) workspace, TPAI denoises this .dng, but (without doing anything other than denoise, and even not doing denoise), export to capture one only uses tifs (and this tiff doesn’t get reloaded into the Recent Imports workspace, either).:
The best I can do is quit the tpai plugin after c1 creates the dng, open and denoise the dng in the standalone tpai, and save it back over the original dng, which c1 will then operate on.
My license runs out tomorrow so I’ll have to hope this gets cleared up.

I know how you feel. I get reverting back to previous releases.
Actually, I went back to V 0.8 from years ago. To me, it still has the best upscaling with natural and low resolutions. I don’t care for the new versions 
…am I just blind, or does Photo AI not have the “Recovery Regeneration” feature that Gigapixel recently introduced?
I was going to write some impressions after using 3.1.0 for many images. 3…1.2 is even better.
Even with 3.1.0, I now enjoy using TPAI again, for the first time since 2.3.2. Since the 2.4.0 debacle and all the attempts to fix it, I was just using it to test it and it would be fixed. Now, it’s good again!3.1.0 fixed Preserve Text, and other things, but 3.1.2 fixes the remaining bugs that were affecting my usage. It now takes settings into account in Suggestions. It now works properly as a plug-in for On1 Photo Raw. I am enjoying this version and getting good results from it.
It is almost time to move on to improvements, though I would urge you to first fix any bugs before moving forward. I have encountered only one minor bug in 3.1.2. When used as a plug-in, it pops up a message saying that you are now on Topaz, and to save or exit Topaz to go back to PhotoShop. However, I use On1. If nothing is detected to show what software is referring an image to TPAI, it should say, “to return to your other photo software” or something to that effect. It did correctly handle the image otherwise. Others have reported some issues, and these should be addressed first. After that…
The improvements that would be nice to see:

Highest priority after bugs – This is such a glaring omission that it is almost a bug. The Quality control for remove should be a setting, rather then permanently defaulted to mediocre. With a fast computer, I NEVER want to use anything other than the highest quality setting. So often, I waste time removing something, only to then realize it could have been done better.

In Adjust Lighting, it should either Brightness, Contrast, and Gamma; or Black, Shadow, Mid, Highlight, and White adjustments which can be changed from whatever auto determination is made. In settings, ask whether or not a user wants Auto to even be attempted, or just open the controls.

In Balance Color, it has a temperature control, but would also need a red-green to be manual; or it could have levels for all three primary colors. Again, whether or not to attempt Auto should be a setting.
(Note: In earlier discussions, some have questioned the need for Light and Color. However, since noise reduction works best on Raw files, TPAI will normally be the first processing that many images get. It is not unusual to find the results are great, but just a bit to light, dark, red, green, contrasty, or washed-out, etc. If these easy things could be fixed, one would not need to work on the same image in multiple pieces of software.)

For Remove, it would be nice to set how much it should create vs how much it should just duplicate its background.

I stuck with 2.3.2 also because of the massive number of bugs and regressions in all versions after 2.3.2. Finally I updated to 3.1.0 and now 3.1.2 because after months and months it is finally getting into reasonable shape. Still lots to do and improvements to be made, but at least it feels like it is in better condition now.
