It happens only when using image sequences? Super weird. That’s the information I was missing.
I use only video formats as source in TVAI and MKV as export format, because it’s the only container that allows preview with third party players while rendering/exporting, currently. Stumbled over a bunch of issues with MKV in TVAI, but I’m still on it.
A bug since 4.2 but it’s still there now and been mentioned before.
If you have a custom preset set in preferences as the default present, you cannot preview anything in the main windows. Both views are stuck on ‘Original’ and no video is displayed.
You can still Export any preset but without a preview that is useless.
The only way I can use the program at the moment is to set default preset to ‘none’ then everything is fine. I’ve not tried other presets to see if it is just the preset I had set that is causing the issue.
It’s not a major problem but a fix would be appreciated.
Make sure that you change the start entry or change the settings always go back to the latest preview switch between comparison mode to understand how it works it took me ages…
I have nothing but red Error message now when I try to preview. Doing HD up convert from SD 23.98 source. Using either Iris or Proteus. I tried resetting my Prefs. I noticed this in 4.2.0 from time to time and with 4.2.1 I seem to be dead in the water. Please help me to get up and running again…
EDIT : OK - I tried another source and it worked. I re-encoded my ProRes and it’s working now
I do not see engineers announcing a release hence they know the windfall to expect from users poor Tony . hopefully he is not responsible for the unannounced roadmap
Interesting, we have mostly seen users working with the OFX plugin from the Edit and Color pages in Resolve. Would be happy to hear more about Fusion workflows that have been useful for you.
New bug found in this release, sometimes the video that is being exported will for some reason be stuck at 1.2 fps and export was stuck on 3 hours, if i remove the whole video, and import it again with the same settings, it suddenly is back to normal export time of 5 minutes and 22 fps. I’m rolling back two versions.
