Anybody know if Apple “cinematic” metadata will be supported in coming updates? The phone captures LIDAR depth data and can let me choose the focus location while editing. The native res is 1080P and I’d like to upscale it to 4k.
You’ll need to put in a feature request via the app if you want an answer.
It seems from Linkedin their main Video Enhance AI programmer/manager left the company, so there is no updates to this software and silence. Not good. Could the company write back here how the things are? Nothing from Topaz to say?
There are updates. Look on Facebook.
I don’t see anything about it on Topaz Labs Facebook. Also nothing about Video Enhace AI past 2.4.0
From what I could tell Taylor only wrote the new GUI for VEAI. Albert is the main programmer, and usually too busy to interact on the forum. Emily is the community manager.
there is someone else in charge of the speed of the software with the processing, he’s the one responsable of the amazing decrease of rendering speed with artemis when it has been avaiable.
They all work at the same time on several of the products. some devs work at the same time on VEAI and gigapixel certainly due to the similarity of both software.
I don’t think Emily is around…someone else is posting on FB now.
Clearly you didn’t look. Ida Patton is the new admin and has several comments on other’s posts, including updates of what’s going on, on FB as of yesterday.
Yeah, I don’t think so…there has only been one dev working on VEAI at a time, from everything we’ve seen in the past and even now.
Hi! I’m still around but Ida has been promoted to Product Specialist for Video Enhance AI and will be your primary point of contact moving forward. She’s super smart and capable and I think having her as our dedicated product specialist for VEAI will really help improve overall support and developer experience ![]()
I’m just trying to get an answer as to whether we will continue to have a direct contact to a developer, as we did with Taylor and others before him. It was much more helpful than just putting tickets into a system or communicating through a middleperson.
While the developers may not always respond directly, they do directly monitor the beta forums.
The point is, they did, and it resulted in better communication than a form or a go-between. When a dev asks you to see logs and immediately tells you what’s going on, that’s interacting. The “bug” form isn’t.
Any member of a regular forum can join beta forums? Or is it a limited private club?
Beta is open to everybody, but you must subscribe to it, and do your “beta tester job” ! It’s not made to use the “beta” as a normal release.
Unless you don’t use it “as a normal relaease” you will not find out what needs to be fixed.![]()
That’s not what i mean.
Or another way of wording it is don’t use a beta for valuable production work. Use at your own risk.![]()
Absolutly MikeF !! ![]()
