Topaz Video AI v4.0.8

Forgot to ask, does TVAI do HDR/DV yet? I have a few DV movies I would like to clean up, but so far cannot get this to work, it just errors out.

Well, I guess not?

When is Topaz Resolving the Error with Intel Arc A770M graphics cards? My Topaz keeps erroring out and I really would love if this issue gets resolved soon. I look forward to using the new 4.0 updates on this PC of mine. I bought the Intel NUC Enthusiast 12 specifically for Topaz Rendering. Very disappointing that it’s not yet working.

What are your hardware specs. I’m having better stability with an intel iMac, 10 core 19 3.5ghz, AMD GPU 16Gbs vraam, since I’ve reduced memory to 50% and selected Low Power Mode. The issue that I’m working with is Apple and AMD GPU related. Those 2 need to get their act together.

The only way to properly troubleshoot this is by you providing Hardware specs as well as codecs etc.

Relating to the MAC Bug with 4.0.8: I am working with the Mac Studio (M1 Ultra Chip), so no Intel or AMD. The Crash of the App while previewing started with the new preview functions. I reverted to 4.0.4. meanwhile, which runs perfectly with no crashes. I have posted a Bug with logs in the bugs section of the forum

much more load on my CPU than my GPU after updates. What’s the problem?

Depends what you are processing, video frame sizes, what models, upscale/slomo settings and so on. You’d need to be more specific to get help on this. There are plenty of situations when I get those kind of CPU/GPU numbers.

Sure thing!
This is my lower end machine, which is a Intel i7-6700k with 32gig ram and a Nvidia 3070. All drives are nvme. This machine pretty much only does transcoding my stuff, and my big main rig is used for other stuff or sometimes a background transcode too… but yeah.

Codec of this movie is:

It then has some audio that is A52 audio and some AC3s

More than happy to provide anything you might need if it helps, or helps furthering HDR/DV support.

Hi,

Just a question out of curiosity: the clip is encoded with which software?

Thanks Christian for the Fantastic Details!

I have no idea, it is not my transferred material.

Thank’s.

The funny thing is just after I responded to your post, Topaz froze my my computer. Apparently the issues I am having are related to the AMD GPU I’m running. Have a similar problem with another software I’m beta testing. This is obviously different than what you’re faced with. Great that you reported a bug with logs. Have you emailed support at help@topazlabs.com with the logs? I’ve gotten great feedback that way. So at the moment I can only run 1 process at a time at 30% memory usage and Low Power Mode selected which will force Topaz to utilize the CPU over my GPU.

I asked the same thing like 2 weeks ago still no reply not even a mention anymore on known issues. It feels like they don’t even care about Arc Cards.

I cannot find a way to watch the live preview during export.

Τhis fat strip there is very annoying and takes up a lot of space from the preview, there is no reason for it to be there , repair it please

It is so disappointing. The Arcs were promised to have a great spot in the Topaz Family, pushing an advertisement for that specific card. How pathetic.

i mention that i previous post you can only preview in preview not export i would like that also like in 354

Yes H265 Main is for HDR

bug. 4.0.8 mac Monterey version.
stabilizer in every combination, if i eneable jittery motion when i stabilize with interlaced materials give me a weird effects, stabilize all camera motion but leave it on face of actor… like in ash vs evil dead demons effects.

V1-0013_nastro1_2_1_ddv3_stab.mp4.zip (1.2 MB)

on interlaced materials converted to progressive with Iris and Proteus some vertical line start to move left right, dione DV convert correctly. It’s a static shot where actor talk, no camera motion or others motions in front of that lines.
i found the problem in the combination iris/proteus + motion deblur.
iris/proteus without motion deblur ok
Dione Dv + motion deblur OK
