I can’t log in. I already tried logging in with my email only and I get this error. I log in with Google and even though it says “Successful,” I can’t log in.
EDIT: I just tried again after 30 mins and it’s working again.

Same Problem: since a few minutes ago, i can’t log in:
(It should be possible to use the Software without internet for some time! We often have problems here with missing Internet-connection for some hours.)
EDIT: (5mins later):
it works again, i can log in.
(But please fix this! Imagine you’re in a desert with only food, drinks, and your laptop with Topaz video software, and you can’t log in because there’s no internet! Horror!)

Had the same problem. After 30 minutes I tried the login again and now it’s working. Seems to be a server overload.

I’m a little confused now about the distinctions between Starlight, Starlight-mini and Starlight-sharp.
Can you clarify please.
Starlight-mini in 7.1.4 seems to be better quality than Starlight-sharp in Video 1.0 when I render locally on my Windows PC / NVidia 5060ti when converting DVTape, is mini still coming to Video 1.0 or is that only for Mac users - not very clear.

I have exactly the same problem.
I’ve had the same experience with Starlight Sharp. It runs faster than Starlight Mini, even with the built-in second pass using a version of Nyx, but the results are quite noticeably worse for me than Starlight Mini, especially on text which it completely garbles.
Might be the source material, which in my case is blocky H264 livestream captures. There could be scenarios where Starlight Sharp is better.

In Topaz Video they have renamed Starlight Mini to Starlight. Apparently Starlight Mini outperformed the original Starlight in most cases anyway.

Hmm, it worked quite well (not fully on par with SL mini for Nvidia in 7.0.2 but still with decent quality) in the last Beta 7.2.0.3.b.

Someone from TL (Dakota?) told that the Mac Beta did make the cut / carry over on this release version so I would assume that the Studio 1.0 should behave mostly identical to that Beta.
I still cannot test the Studio 1.0 myself yet as I’ve still got no answer to my question about possible caveats with the “Pro” license.
First impressions of Topaz Video 1.0.0 (New Studio Release) can be summed up in a single word: SLOW! The same movie upscale using Nyx in Video AI (7.1.4) runs at 6+ FPS with my nVidia 5080 GPU. Processing that same movie with identical settings in Video 1.0.0 never breaches 6 FPS and runs between 5.6-5.8 FPS on average. Doesn’t seem like a lot, does it? However, when compounded over processing of the entire movie (~1.5 hours in length) it can add an extra 10-15 minutes to overall processing time. The new Video versus Video AI shows promise but needs some fine-tuning and tweaking to get some more muscle using my GPU. Like any new software product, it’s going to take probably several iterations to get things fine-tuned and working properly.
For now, I’m going back to Video AI unless someone can share some compelling reason why Nyx model (not Nyx XL) runs slower in Video versus Video AI. Something like maybe it is doing something significant in the background that Nyx in Video AI doesn’t do? (Probably not, but that’s a good excuse perhaps).

It is indeed identical to the last Beta on Mac and AMD. For Windows we reverted to the prior version for now, no change to Windows.
I’d renew them ASAP, we are still transitioning customers over. We may run one final sync batch.
I thought the Studio apps were going to be in one app? Like having all three apps in one app?
No, not at this time. Although we may have a common launcher in the future.

I’ve not tried downloading the Studio version yet but I’ve had a quick read of the EULA which is even more complicated. But from what I understand, I would absolutely need the Pro licence purely for the CLI use. It appears that CLI use is now forbidden for the personal licence.
Also, I see no mention of the 2 seat allowance anywhere in the new EULA. But it appears you can still use the 2 seats for the perpetual licence TVAI.
It’s not clear to me whether the 2 seats of the TVAI can be used concurrently with the 1 seat of (Studio) Topaz Video. As they are effectively different products, I don’t see why not, unless Topaz can point me to where it says differently in the EULA(s).

I have a Radeon 7900XTX, 64GB RAM and a 9800X3D and am trying to use Starlight on but it just stays on “Processing”, either on preview or export.
ridiculous. Will Topaz Video AI continue to get updates?
