There’s no caveats or downsides to choose Pro over Personal. You also get a founding price for Pro, which you can access by emailing help@topazlabs.com.
Both Personal and Pro only include a single user per purchase, rather than two. However, as long as you’re an individual user you can still easily switch between computers by just deactivating right after logging in.

For non-founding customers, Wonder and all Starlight models are Pro-only for local access. Founding customers get local Wonder and Starlight regardless of plan (although I’d recommend checking that your system requirements can handle the large models first). Everyone can access both models via cloud.
That’s a good idea, actually! We just didn’t want to force people into a Pro subscription that they didn’t need. Currently if you have 3 renewals and don’t cancel, you’ll still pay a max of $163/yr for Studio.
As a founding customer you get local access to Starlight Mini (and Wonder for image), and you’ll also only pay a max of $163 a year instead of what you’re paying now
Sorry for being confusing here! We’re running the “Founding customer” transition twice: once on Sept 16 (currently underway) and the next one on Sept 26 as a last call. You can still opt into auto renew before then for founding customer status.

Thanks for your reply, Eric. It is appreciated. I changed my subscription for Photo AI to auto renew earlier today, so could you please confirm that I will get founding customer status and therefore qualify for the Studio discount?
Just now I enabled 2 auto-renews. I have all 3 programs. Do I need to auto-enable and 3th or 2 are enough? For now I am 200$+tax, On https://account.topazlabs.com/ I see “Pending” status. That is normal?
Just checked your account. Currently you have Photo AI with active upgrades, but Gigapixel’s upgrades are expired. If you renew that you’ll get Studio for no additional cost to your upgrade licenses.
2 auto-renews is good enough, and “pending” is normal until the transition script gets to your account. For Studio renewals, you will also only be paying $163/yr from now on, as long as it’s active.

However, I was more curious about what happens with (future) local models going forward. Will this deal get us all future local models that Topaz releases, or will there be models that are not part of the “founding customer” arrangement?

Yes, there will likely be future Pro-only models where local access won’t be covered under the founding customer arrangement. However, if that happens and you require the model locally, founding customers will always have a path to upgrading to Pro that maintains their current discount.

Yes - you should be good to go! Might be a few days before you receive the transition email.

Based on your current auto-renewals (Gigapixel and Video AI ), the price for your Topaz Studio upgrade will be $255.60 (tax included) .
The lower $163 price that Eric mentioned applies if the enrolled auto-renewals were Photo AI and Gigapixel instead. Since your setup includes Video AI, the total reflects that difference.

Yes you are correct Founders Topaz Studio indeed includes all Local Models plus Exclusive Pro Models only available to early Founders Subscripers and not the regular Topaz Studio Subscripers after September 26th

Hi, I have a lifetime license for Gigapixel with updates until December. Could you clarify what benefits I’ll get if I renew the updates, and what I’ll lose if I don’t? I’m a bit confused. Thanks a lot!
