topaz opens ‘full screen’ but shows desktop in background, will not fill window and all buttons are misaligned with mouse. You have to click slightly above all buttons to hit them, and window cannot be maximized. This all happened immediately upon upgrade to latest version, and after total system reboot. VERY inconvenient
Good morning John. I’ve just sent that info through. I’m having no other issues aside from Topaz and only upon upgrading to 3.1.0. Things were fine prior to that. Every button in the software must be clicked by positioning the mouse slightly above each button. The program shows ‘maximized’ but will not fill the screen and no edges can be clicked on to manually move/extend the app window in any direction. I’ll upload a screen shot to your dropbox too. In the meantime, is the immediate solution to roll it back to the previous version?
I think I’ve done this. As you can see the window won’t maximize, can’t be moved, the Export Image button is 75% OFF the screen at the bottom and the ONLY way to make buttons work is to come down from above with the mouse and only THEN do they ‘flash’ indicating that the mouse it hitting them. Clicking directly in the middle of buttons does nothing and it’s even worse when trying to touch sliders or drop downs.
Hi John: No word from you guys on this yet. Should I just roll things back and await the next update or is there a fix for this in the works that will be provided shortly?
My apologies for missing your reply. Our developers are currently investigating why this is occurring on some machines. We appreciate you bringing this to our attention.
In the meantime, while they work to resolve this problem with a future version release, you can revert to a previous version that worked for your machine by downloading an installer from our Community Forums page.
Let’s try updating you to the most recent version release to see if this resolves the issue.
Please make sure you’ve also turned off any firewall, VPN, or proxy that may be on your computer. These are known to block the installation. Also, make sure there are no settings or configurations in your OS system that could interfere.
Sorry, still no dice. I’m still having to click outside and above all buttons to ‘hit’ the buttons and the app still isn’t maximizing to fill the screen. In other words, same as before and nothing’s changed.
Can you confirm with me which Topaz Photo AI version you are currently using that you are still having this problem with the misaligned button?
I will be sure to reach out to some of the developers in order to get some more information about this issue to see if we can resolve it for you. I appreciate your patience.
John, it’s the latest download which I obtained via the link within the program. In response to your last message I uniinstalled it completely, downloaded and reinstalled again, and the problem remains. It’s the latest version. All was well before installing that.
I have reviewed the informaiton you sent in to us here and now noticed that your GPU is underpowered. You only have 2GB of VRAM while our Minimum System Requirement is 6GB of VRAM.
Ah ha! Who checks such things!! My PC is an old custom build and hasn’t been upgraded/reviewed for years. I’ll have to look into what needs to be done to update it. That, however, does not (to me) explain the issue of non-maximizing windows or accuracy of pointers over buttons… please advise.
We’ve had a few users report similar issues and have a team working on learning what might be causing this for some users. I will be sure to reach out to you here once we have more information.
