Images are being cut in half when exporting

I just purchased Topaz AI. At first it was working great, and I had no issues. Fast forward a day or two and all of the pictures I try to edit, upon export, cut in half. (I did not change anything, do any program updates, etc., from the time it was working to when it stopped working.)

Steps to reproduce issue:

  1. Upload photo(s)
  2. Apply enhancements: I think I have narrowed it down to Super Focus and Upscale (on the entire image, meaning I zoom out to get the full picture), but I apply: Recover faces, sharpen subject, adjust all lighting at a strength of 15, and Upscale. (I also tried it with just Super focus and had the same outcome.)
  3. Export Image and/or export to LRC.
  4. Exporting a large CR2 to a TIFF. The photo is currently in portrait but upon exporting, it turns it into a landscape photo and cuts the heads off.

I tried rebooting.
I tried “fixing” and reinstalling the install twice and then rebooting.
I tried doing it from Lightroom Classic using the Plug-In and from Topaz directly.

None of these worked. Please help. I currently cannot use what I purchased which is frustrating. I did not change any settings from the time it was working to when it stopped working.

I’m confused. Is this still an open issue? Is there a workaround?

The development team is still investigating this issue, and it appears that this problem may be associated with particular file types.

I’ve included your information on an open development ticket and the team will be sure to reach out to you once this is resolved.

In the meantime, you can use the non-raw path to send the photo to Photo AI. It will not create this issue.

This is not ideal because you won’t have access to RAW Denoise, but it could be better than not being able to process these images
