In the example opposite, the “Redefine” model worked rather well to improve the quality of the image generated.
Thanks! I do it on the side, need more volume before sales reach anything towards significant, I love doing it, and it’s getting faster and faster. After I crack the video nut, it should speed up quite a bit as far as revenue is concerned. MJ is releasing a video model shortly, we’ll see how that goes with the new Topaz Video to 1920x1280. Hope MJ is natively that at release, would be super nice. I did submit a large # of runway models at 4k, but all were rejected. I have a pending full HD vid, waiting for that…
Yes, as far as I know, Adobe is training on their entire library of stock footage. I assume new models will incorporate new submissions over time. But, really, everyone is training on everything as fast as possible (for the most part) to get the best model in the fastest time (Shutterstock isn’t though - they are being conservative still). It’s a crazy race. In my opinion, MJ has the best secret sauce under the hood thus far. FLUX is good too, but not there yet.
Try it now, it’s much better. If the people are not close enough to the camera, they will distort, but closeups are pretty tight now. The far away people distortion is not generally solved yet, believe it’s a resolution thing.
Here’s the final image in 6908x9216 quality
Image in original size for comparison
There were several passes.
A x2 pass with Low Rs v1
A x2 pass with Redefine + prompt
And a final pass with “Art & CG” to achieve the desired resolution.
Thanks, made a note to check it out over the weekend!
Wait! Our doing AI is now being replaced by AI doing AI!
Very creepy/cool! Happy Halloween.
OMG, was it the movie Young Frankenstein (tributes to Teri Garr!) that had a scene in a lab with brains in jars on shelves? They can just hook those up to an AI computer and let the AI go crazy!!!
Topaz “Labs”, get it!
Are you using an AMD Radeon graphics card? There is a known issue with these graphics cards and using creativity 3-6. Creativity 1-2 should work.
LOL! You invented a new animal. Yeah you’ll want to use Creativity = 1 and Texture = 1 when running it on photos normally. Sometimes Creativity = 2.
Yes, as you write: Creativity level 1 or 2 if one aims at the reality (my case).
I agree with you, both degrees = 1. Otherwise, too many new species would appear!
Could you send reproduction steps for this? We haven’t been able to reproduce. What macOS? It seems you are using a M1 Max, do you know if it’s happening with other devices?
I was curious what the difference was between classic Gigapixel at 6X w/Auto pilot and Creativity at 6X at the lowest settings.
Here is the first example (original, then 6X w/Face recovery off):
Trying Face recovery in Classic, preview stopped rendering, clicking around to rejigger it caused a crash:
Restarted GPAI, there we go:
So it seems “classic” at 6X with Face recovery is a middle result. Then we pour on the Creativity at max with either 3 or 5 Texture (same final result) – Topaz Girl returns!
Some other originals then 6X Creativity at max:
I just updated topaz on my Mac Sequoia 15.0.1 m3 and the truth is it has been terrible, everything is slow and it takes too long to process the changes
Here is the zipped video illustrating the issue.
- Face Gen2 AI enabled.
- Doing “Preview Entire Image” or just “Export image”
- Face Ai is NOT getting applied ← this is the issue
- Click “Select Faces to Recover”, Select then Unselect EACH face. Click Apply
- Face AI is applied INSTANTLY

How many fingers on the disembodied hand under the girl attachment??? That is creative, indeed!
Alice in Topazland!
