DeNoise AI 2.2.12

You’re right.

But i want it less synthetic with “natural” variations.

Maybe, your hard drive has somethng wrong, you could try deleting the source file or target file manually, and see if it get fixed.

I feel this is normal for AI, just change the parameters when this happen. However the developing team is tring to improve it.

I believe this is caused by the gamma with the color space. It looks like that the Topaz save DNG with a liner gamma which is different from the original image.

I’m wondering if this is a Mac Mini issue, since I believe every case I’ve seen of this is a combination Mac Mini + eGPU. Certainly a weird coincidence at the very least. Unfortunately I cannot fix this until I get the hardware for it, or if other fixes happen to fix it as well.

I’m wondering that as well. Possible that a Catalina update will fix it, but who knows?

Thanks.

Just upgraded to 2.2.4 … and nothing works anymore:

  • as standalone if I open a Tif it doesnt show/do anything when moving the sliders
  • same as plug in in LR Classic output file appears unalterd vs raw file

PLS ADVICE WHATB TO DO !!

You might need to provide s little information about your computing environment. For example OS, RAM, GPU & vRAM.

Since I upgraded to 2.2.4 I also encounter some issues - on both systems.
My computers:
Mobile
15" HP-CS2105NG
i5 16GB RAM
Nvidia GPU 3GB

Desktop
i5 32GB RAM
Nvidia GPU 4GB

Both on WIN10 Build 1909

I am using DenoiseAI as a plug-in in Lightroom Classic V9.3. Files in LR are 99% RAW exported to DenoiseAI as JPG.

Metadat conflict
With both PC the Metadata from the original LR file seems to be influenced by DenoiseAI from time to time. When getting back to LR, there is the little hint of LR that there is a Metadata conflict.
The star rating from the original is continiously lost - which was not the case with the former version.

Black Screen
Also from time to time after the export from LR, the screen in DenoiseAI remains black and nothing happens. When closinng down DenoiseAI manually and re-export the file again, in most cases it works and the file appears within DenoiseAI.

So a few inconsistencies which do not pop-up all the time -except the star raring which is continiously missing.

My system is :slight_smile:AMD Ryzen 7 3800X 8 Core 3.9GHz, 32GB DDR4 RAM, Mainboard MSI X470 Gaming Pro, Grafik Asus Strix GTX 1070 8GB, SSD 512 GB, Win 10 Pro, Lightroom Classic-Version latest Version Lizenz: Creative Cloud

Befor the Update things worked really fine

Do you have any logs when you output with no visible difference? I’m not aware of any breaking issues at the moment. 2.2.5 was just released as well, but since I didn’t see your post until after it was built I have done nothing explicitly to look into this potential issue.

sorry I am not at this mc right now, back tomorrow morning (ca14h from now)

It’s very funny when i read that people write they have an I5 ……… the first I5 came out in 2011 ……… I5-2500. XD

It’s like when you say “I’ve a EF camera”.

Hi I tried to update to 2.2.6 but it crashes with the error ‘Library not loaded: @rpath/liblcms2.2.dylib’
I am on MacOS 10.15.6.
I downgraded and 2.2.5 works fine.

This was an unfortunate mistake on my part. Our build process has recently changed, and 2.2.6 didn’t ship with any libraries. I pulled 2.2.6 for now (and Sharpen 2.1.2) and will have to fix this in the morning with another version.

Hi Adam, seems that the install problems are popping up:

Yeah, I’ve yanked the versions but anyone who got DeNoise 2.2.6 or Sharpen 2.1.2 will need to downgrade to the versions listed on the downloads page. I already have 2.2.7 and 2.1.3 uploaded (this time built correctly), but I plan on releasing them tomorrow morning so I can actually monitor them properly.

@adam.mains – 2.2.7 broke the below again. It was fixed in 2.2.4

On a different topic, awhile back I was putting together some pictures of an event for a hardcover memories book. We only had video (HD) of the indoor event at night with poor lighting. Needless to say the stills I pulled from the video were horribly noisy. Denoise did an amazing job of cleaning up the pictures -if you didn’t know you’d never guess the origin. What a tool to have available!!
