CR3 files and Topaz Photo AI V3.2.1

I have just purchased a new canon R5Mk2. The raw file format is CR3. All photos appear pink in Topaz. The processed thumbnail is the correct collor.
When saving, it shows CR3-DNG DNG write error.
Is this a compatibility problem with CR3?

Topaz Photo AI [v1.x.x] on [Windows/Mac]

I have the same problems with the new Canon R5Mk2. I saved in CR3 format. When they import into Photo AI (3.2.1) there’s a red-ish “overlay” over the whole images (whether processed or original), and when I go to save back into LRC, I get the DNG write error as well.

FWIW, working in Windows 11 of LRC and Photo AI.

Please fix this or post a work around.

FWIW too, I just went back to an image I shot with the original Canon R5 saved as CR3. That image works fine in Photo AI 3.2.1. The reddish overlay is not there, and I was able to save the CR3 back to LRC with DNG.

So it seems to be an error processing CR3 files from the new Canon R5 Mark II.

I have the same issue; Canon R5 MkII raw cr3 files opening with pink overlay in Topaz Photo AI 3 version 3.2.1.

@neil.white Yes, it seems that Topaz isn’t able to process R5/2 cr3 files.

Hopefully Topaz will pick this up quickly and get it fixed asap.

The problem is Topaz AI hasn’t been updated yet with the R5 II profile. Until then the only workaround is to convert the CR3 to DNG before importing into Topaz AI (or Gigapixel). I saw where DxO updated it’s software today to included the R5 II so hopefully Topaz will update this week as well.

Same issue today, same error message when saving DRG so still not fixed. Issue persists whether sRGB or Adobe RGB set on R5Mk2. No issue if image opened as TIF - only happens with CR3 files.

Circling back to let you know we have released Photo AI v3.3.2, which now fully supports the RAW files from your Canon R5 Mark II . You can forego the previous DNG workaround and edit the native RAW files directly with Photo AI or its plugins.

We want to thank you for your patience and collaboration while the Developers worked through adding support for your camera model. We appreciate your understanding, and we hope this new update will improve your workflow and photo editing experience.
