Windows network source files leave behind temporary file after export completes

If you use a Windows network shared file as the source for Topaz Video AI, when you export the output and it finishes it leaves behind an extra temporary video file.

Example file path - \MACHINE\Folder\File.mp4

Will leave behind an extra file such as \MACHINE\Folder\File_35269235.mp4

Can you pull the logs and send to the support team for investigation?

This is an older issue that was resolved and we will need to have the devs look back into this.

If you tell me how to grab a log, sure. I was going to say I’ve seen this going on since the dawn of time but never reported it because I rarely run into it since it’s only when I accidentally drag from a network share explorer window instead of my local explorer window that I have it happen. It finally annoyed me enough times today I guess to speak up lmao.

To gather logs

  • Select Help > Logging and make sure that there is a checkmark next to Logging.
  • Recreate the issue.
  • Help > Get Logs for Support and attach the zip file to your reply.
