The new version of Video Enhance (2.0.0) now warns me that I need AVX which is a processor extension not available on my MacPro 5,1. It seems to run anyway - will it just be slower or actually have features that don’t work?
I see it right next to ETA in Windows 10. Are you Maccing it?
Did 1.9.0 not show this warning as well for you?
ISSUE: “Select Start Frame” and “Select End Frame” in the Process menu don’t work anymore.
Also, once fixed can you enable the standard video editing keyboard shortcuts to be able to mark these ( “i” for in and “o” for out)
Minor detail, but updating from inside 1.7.1 Mac downloads the Windows installer. Is that an issue with 1.7.1 or is it server side?
Are you on Mac or Windows?
He’s referring to during a preview, not processing.
Hi! I’m new here and have been evaluating VEAI on Windows, and just updated to 2.0. The CLI help is incorrect (as was the same in 1.9). It suggests “–ai-name” as an option, but when using it, it says:
"Video Enhance AI: Unknown option ‘ai-name’.
The shortcut “-m” is accepted, but it doesn’t seem to reliably select the AI model chosen. I’ve worked around this by setting my chosen model as default through the UI.
Generally, it would be nice if the CLI were comprehensive, e.g. included the ability to alter all the other things you can control in the UI such as grain amount/size.
I assume that this version still does not support M1 Mac?
This kind of “ghosting” I saw also on old Ben10 toon, when I used Theia Fidelity v4 on this 288p (yes, that low) video.
Yes! Papers pace dot com. Used it for a while and it’s terrific. You can rent workstation level graphics cards.
Still waiting on that as well. Considering returning my mac since this is a primary thing I do
Same here too. Waiting for M1 version
Thank you for the license extension! Very kind of you guys. The new update looks great, too!
first: Dione V1
second: Dione V2
overall it does to much, and distort the picture way worse than it has in Dione V1.
Especially if you have scenes where many small stuff is in the background, like a forrest or many rocks it makes an unpleasent garbage. Dione V1 keept some imperfections as you can see in the picture (left side the vertical lines of the footage) but it made the footage usable and kept it very naturale but still enhanced.
I am very disappointed in Dione V2.
I’m not seeing what you think is “terrible”…I love the Dione results with the right (interlaced) source.
FYI, ALL the models make those lines with certain sources.
Its not about the lines…
Its about how it blurres the face but oversmoothens for no reason. It becomes total unnatural.
Here look at this example as a video:
Dione V1: https://anonymousfiles.io/UjJuHNtp/
Dione V2: https://anonymousfiles.io/4fFfsYYf/
Dont tell me you find that better looking with Dione V2.
Really like the new interface and the new options. Thank you. It seems like Topaz is really invested in making Video Enhance better and better.
Interesting. But yes like @brian.barrett said. After rebooting my PC the mapped drives are shown and working.
