Cheers, It was only the first Starlight mini render that took long, perhaps it needs to download some more additional models. Right now it starts to render very quickly and takes approx. 10 minutes for 5 seconds.
It should be the model downloading for the first time. After that, should be much faster for model loading.
I got Starlight working. After a couple of TVAI restarts it successfully downloaded all the required files.
But it took me a while watching network activity and restarting TVAI when it stopped downloading.
Not if you render locally!
For the cloud, yes of course - it uses our servers.
Lowering VRAM will lower the model quality, just so you’re aware
If there isn’t a way to disable render preview, please add. Feels like it just another reason to slow down processing with it enabled.
Starlight Mini is by far our most demanding model. 0.4 fps on a 5070 sounds about right. We’re continuing to optimize model performance, some users are getting about 1fps on higher end cards
Screaming fast! ![]()
It’s a temporary limitation - we will be resolving this in a patch update very soon ![]()
Just a heads up - I don’t believe Starlight Mini supports multi-GPU yet, but we’re working on it
Is there any issue you’re worried about specifically? We do track and fix the majority of issues in our betas, but we don’t post changelogs vs Betas here in the public threads.
Our team is working on making this possible - it is a temporary limitation that will be fixed in a patch update
Thanks - I’ll make a note of these here
I’ll take a look - we may need to provide different model access options particularly for Pro users, this is good feedback.
Also a virtue ![]()
Thanks, our team is looking into this
If you can, may I ask how the model sees “videos”? I know that it manages to get some frames before and after to see what is noise and what is movement, but how does it manage to identify objects or body parts? In one of my tests, I observed that when it tries to reconstruct the face, the nose becomes a little blurry, and in my case, it manages to make it pop up in low-light conditions. In the end, it is a super model, and the Topaz team is amazing.
Can you share logs by chance? Will make note of this one
Good feedback - I know we are working on multi-GPU support, but I’ll also mention this one to the team
The previous version of Starlight ran only on A100s so even though Mini is smaller, it is still by far our most powerful and demanding model. You can expect fps rates below 1 for most mid-range cards.
