Video AI 6.1.3, 6.1.0 and 6.0.4 crash immediately on startup (macOS)

When I try to start Video AI, I immediately get a “Topaz Video AI quit unexpectedly” dialog, without ever seeing the app’s UI.

I have tried the following:

1. reinstalling Video AI
2. deleting the plist file for Video AI under ~/Library/Preferences/
3. deleting saved application state under ~/Library/Saved Application State/com.topazlabs.Topaz-Video-AI.savedState/
4. deleting caches under ~/Library/Caches/Topaz Labs LLC/Topaz Video AI/
5. using a different version of Video AI. I’ve tried 6.1.3, 6.1.0, and 6.0.4, all with the same result.
