Video AI 5.3.X - User Benchmarking Results

My primary rig (5800X3D + 4090) is used for VR sim racing and my HP Reverb runs on WMR. Microsoft is removing it from W11 and W10 is losing general support in about a year.

With almost all of the new headsets being stand-alone units, I will just pay for the extended security and hope someone makes a proper PCVR headset that can utilize PC performance natively.

Finally got the 1.2.0.2 AGESA Bios update ! An it changes ā€¦ nothing
9950X remains a pure crap ā€¦ Expo2 introduced limits it all over the way, max frequency, max tĀ°, max , max TFMAX, you have to cheat everything and spend years to a ā€œtheoricalā€ +14% boost ā€¦
This shit will be frozen and fried, thatā€™s all he deserves !

Stay with your 7950X, do not buy a 9950X

They should have just skipped Zen 5, itā€™s a joke.

Truelly

Actually, the new scandal right now is the introduction of TFMAX with OPB2.
People donā€™t know if itā€™s a strategy to free up power for the competition later or a way to hide the weakness of this architecture.

All the best overclockers are trying to break the 35Ā°C barrier, and thatā€™s what Iā€™m going to do by chilling the CPU. For the CPU to be <35Ā°C, my coolant will have to be at least -20Ā°
I know my limit is -40Ā°C otherwise Iā€™ll go all out and get the -90Ā°C stunt out of the attic, but there the drawbacks are huge ā€¦ condensation

AMDā€™s PR team - now with 40% increased bullshit!

Also often confused is something like ā€œ3 times as fastā€ and ā€œ3 times fasterā€ (which is 4 times that fast).

They only exaggerated by about 10x, the actual gains over Zen 4 are about 4%,

Maybe they just referred to the maximum clock speed at single thread use or so. There are all sorts of tricks with advertising. My new vacuum cleaner for example runs up to one hour and delivers a giant sucking power. But the maximum power will last for only 8 minutes with a full charge. :eyes:

Sorry, but whats the point of posting random performance speculations from 6 months ago?

If u look at serious Ryzen 9000 reviews, they show performance increase of about 10% for most applications. Which isnā€™t great and less than AMD stated but not a complete disaster.

The most disappointing part of Ryzen 9000 release for me was the stagnation for the memory controller because high RAM speed is important for any TVAI upscaling task. Here there is 0% increase in RAM speed over Ryzen 7000. And itā€™s the main reason Intel CPUs with fast RAM will perform better in scaling tasks than any AMD CPU.

Here for example is a review of the 9950X in tha Machine Learning/AI category:
