some software are optimised for using the Gpu, or a igpu and get extra power / extra hardware depending of which Gpu they use. For example on Vegas pro, there are some video plugins which are "Gpu optimised, they are running faster depending of which Gpu is used.
there is a colorisation feature, amazing which only work on specific intel Cpu, and the speed is much better.
you have blender which use the “RTX” part of the nvidia graphics card, to make acceleration during rendering on the raytracing part, etc…
Was just telling here that the part in the developpement of VEAI which will make it able to run as fast as 2.6.4 is not available yet in the 3.0 beta we have, as said before by the dev, Ida, etc … and will be available soon from what they said… as simple as that.

That is a good idea! So instead of just clearing the previews for a specific source, the ability to clear all previews?

Thanks for your concern. Suraj is already aware of this issue and gave us a solution to make the videos working.
in the Preference, when the “allow recovery” is checked, it generates corrupted video at some points or make them not usuable in some videos players and video editors. by turning off this option, the videos work normally.

1/ Sometimes we can be in a situation where we must do a lot of preview.
when a preview is generated, the last preview is put at the bottom of the list instead of top.
after 6 previews (same problem with exports), they are rendered out of the window, at the end of the list (the list can only have 6 previews / export without having to scroll down).
to see the “new ones” , or be sure that it’s running, we must go down to the list if not we don’t know if a preview or export is generated.
the solution would be to make the most recent generated video to be at the top of the list.
2/ only way to empty a list full of preview or exports, is close the video source or remove them one by one. with one video it’s ok, but when batch processing will work, with like 100 videos to generate, it will maybe be a bit chaotic for the export list. but it’s the same with previews.
3/ found something weird, don’t know where i failed.
with some unusual size/resolution of video source, some have, after doing a custom height of 1080p, once generated, black bars at top and bottom while other videos are working ok.
example : a 812 x 796 video, i set custom height at 1080, it give a 836 x 1080 preview / export.
Crop to fill is turned off. result ? black bars at top and bottom.
I try again with an another video, 778x796, crop to fill turned off, custom weight 1080, it gives a 1056x1080, and give a result with no black bars anywhere.
maybe i missed something ?
