I just purchased the latest version of Photo AI and it is not working with Photoshop.
Steps to reproduce issue:
Using Photoshop (latest 2024 version) I go to Filter>Topaz Labs>Photo AI
The above takes me to Photo AI and I can do my edits normally.
After doing my edits, when I click on Export to Photoshop I get the pane where it shows processing, the processing bar fills up from left to right and it completes the processing.
HOWEVER, when it shows EXPORTING the broken circle on the right side does not spin and I get a spinning beach ball where my cursor is located. Nothing happens, Photo AI just hangs and there is no way to get out of this unless I force quit Photo AI.
This makes it completely unusable as a Photoshop plug in!
By the way, I own copy of Sharpen AI and Sharpen AI functions perfectly as a plug in, so there clearly is something wrong with Topaz Photo AI [v3.0.1] on Mac.
Also if you can, please try to recreate this crash in Topaz Photo AI, then go to Help > Open Log Folder, please send me all of the files within that folder. You should be able to attach them directly as a response to this thread.
If you would prefer you can securely submit your files(s) to my Dropbox using the link below. Make sure to send me a note to let me know you sent something.
I managed to fix the problem by doing the following:
I turned off all my Privacy protection settings in Safari.
I turned off Private Relay.
The above two steps needed to be done BEFORE I downloaded a fresh installer from your site. Downloading the installer first and doing the above afterwards did not fix the problem (I tried that twice).
Why the first two steps need to be done before downloading the installer makes no sense to me, but that is what I experienced.
I white listed your website by disabling all content blockers, all ad blockers and allowing all cookies and trackers, as well as pop up windows.
I performed a clean install by first deleting the two plist preferences for Photo AI, deleting the app and then running the installer.
I have performed a few tests and the product seems to be working properly.
Thank you again for getting back to me trying to help.
