Enabling Stabilization and/or Motion Deblur usually results in a processing error. No detailed error message is displayed, just a red X and the word “error.” Changing settings for either feature doesn’t seem to make a difference.

No. And none of the other things I have reported ever got fixed or addressed. So I get the impression no employees at Topaz monitor these forums, or they don’t care.
The other option is to open a support ticket. I did that once to report that Topaz Photo and Video are not using the second, faster Intel Arc GPU in my computer. After some back and forth, I was told it was the maker of my computer’s fault and there was nothing they could do about it.
So I gave up and canceled the auto-renew on my subscriptions.
Looking at the logs, it looks like your GPU is being overwhelmed by the processes. You can try lowering the max memory use % in the preferences panel and running the clip again.
Thanks for your help. I tried setting the max memory to 80%, 70%, 50% and 10%. Same failure. And no matter how I set up Topaz Video, or the Windows GPU settings for the program, or TV’s copy of ffmpeg, it still refuses to use better GPU in the system, and just falls back to the default GPU.
Topaz support claims its Asus’ fault, but other programs have no problem using the Arc GPU.
I agree. And even if I get it to process a video, I can only view it in the Topaz Video interface. If I select the “Play in external player” option, or try to export the video, the result is a video that is horizontally squashed to about 100 pixels wide, but the vertical height is correct. So the output is just garbage.
The sad thing is, it used to work when I first bought it. But the last dozen or so updates have just not produced anything useful.
