"Unknown Error" when processing video

  1. The bug / behavior you have encountered - I took about a week off from upscaling (hot weather) but when I came back and am trying my next file, I get an “Unknown Error” and processing seems to stop around 15-20%. Nothing has changed with my system since my last successful processing.

Would appreciate any assistance on this, I can only upscale for ~1/3 of the year due to weather/electricity costs so every day lost hurts!

The error message in your logs is quite odd! Can you please try a clean reinstall?

  1. Uninstall Topaz Video AI

  2. Delete the AppData > Roaming Folders for Topaz Video AI
    As a note, this folder will be hidden. To view this file, select View > Show Hidden, and here is the path;
    C:\Users<username>\AppData\Roaming\ Topaz Labs LLC\ Topaz Video AI

  3. Delete Registry Entries using the steps below:
    Open program RegEdit from your Start menu explorer and delete the registry entries of Topaz Video AI

I. Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Topaz Labs LLC\ Topaz Video AI

  1. Reboot Computer
  2. Reinstall

hello , i meet now the same behavior since this week, with just an error in log -1073741819 (access violation)

i am trying to identify what introduces this, as the last changes i did are :

  • upgrade to 3.2.3 and 4
  • upgrade of nvidia driver to 531.79 .
  • Cumulative Update for Windows 11 Insider Preview (10.0.22624.1690) (KB5026447)

that i just did and currently testing :

  • revert back to 3.2.2
  • revert nividia to 531.68

no way , still have the unknown error.
