Unable to Upscale in Photo AI 1.4.0 Enhance

I am running Photo AI from Photoshop on up-to-date Windows 11, 64 bit with Nvidia RTX 3070 GPU and processing set to Auto vs. CPU only or GPU only. When I run Photo AI in Autopilot it will default to upscaling the image above a certain size. If it chooses to upscale, the preview updates, but when I try to save the result, I just get an indefinite spinning wheel. I’ve tried CPU only and GPU only processing to no avail. When I turn upscaling off, or the image is large enough that Photo AI does not default to upscaling, I can save the image back to Photoshop very quickly with no problem.

Steps to reproduce issue:

  1. Step 1
  2. Step 2
  3. Step 3

@Brad419 Thanks for reaching out.

This is a known bug with the Photoshop plugin that we’re trying to fix ASAP. The plugin doesn’t allow for upscaling so when auto upscale is on, the export back to Photoshop is blocked and there’s an infinite loop.

If you need to upscale, the current workaround is to export from Photoshop after making other edits and then upscaling in Photo AI as a standalone application.

Thanks for your patience and understanding as we fix this bug.

Thank you!
