I have a RTX3090 / win10 / TVAI 7.0.1
I’m upscaling 320x160 to 720p with starlight mini
Problem:
sometimes 8 or 16 frames are missing at the end of the output-video
I have tried as input/output a video and image-sequence and its always the same at that video.
One video that has the problem is 97 frames long and the output has after starlight mini 80 frames. Here are the last 16 frames missing and I know that always the first frame is missing.
I think it has something to do with the video-frame-count and the frame-steps (8 or 16) from Starlight mini?
Hello,
just wanted to say that the same happens for me from time to time, video is supposed to be 81 frames but comes out as something like 70-71. It also happened that I lost more frames (video went from 4 to 2 seconds).
RTX5090
Win11
Topaz Video AI 7.1.0
Upscale from 1280x720 to 2560x1440 (16fps video)
So I just checked my files and it seems this problem occurs on pretty much all my upscaled videos. From 81 frames to 72.
I’ll send you the log files via email.
Ran into the same here just now. 5:00 second video at 24 fps came out as 4:19, so 5 frames missing at end. I thought it was a one-time error, and ran it through the second time to same result.
My guess, since it is five seconds with five frames dropped, is that Starlight interprets the frame rate wrong and calculates the number of frames incorrectly. Looking at the source footage in the preview before processing, it is already missing the last five frames.
