TVAI 5.0.1 crashes during previews. If I run a preview of 15 seconds or over, it seems almost guaranteed to happen. Tried it on Proteus and Iris so far. This is the most crash-happy version of TVAI I’ve ever tried, which is disappointing, to say the least. I’ve not even got as far as trying a render, as the program is pretty well unusable for me in its current state.

Looks like you could be experiencing the issue with the AMD card inside of a Mac that has been an issue for awhile and will require an update and patch from Apple.
You can try these settings in the Preference Panel to see if it helps resolve the crashing.
File>Preferences>Processing

Turn on low power mode

Set Max Memory to 50%

Max Processes to 1
Save those settings and try running the clip again.
