Topaz Video AI v3.3.9

Thank you. You are right, the export preview is broken, but I wasn’t talking about the export preview. I meant the preview to check before exporting, 1.Edit Trim 2.Press Apply button 3.Press Preview button and I could see the preview. (I am using v3.3.3) The preview does not work in v3.3.9.
I don’t know if this is just me.

I am getting an error with this update.
Any idea how to download the older version?

I read your logs. Check that your paths exist and are accessible.

They do exist and are accessible. I read that too. I’ve restored to an earlier version (3.3.5) and it’s working again.

Ok, I would suggest trying renaming your paths, without spaces or special characters in the names if there are any and set them as your preferences in the app.

I tried renaming. Didn’t try without spaces. Perhaps that was it. Regardless, I’ll wait for an update that fixes it. Thanks for your suggestions though.

Perhaps not, but it does provide a performance index for the various hardware configurations which makes it easy to compare hardware, which for me is the most important use of the benchmark.

In this moment I exporting 720p up to 1080p, mkv, x264, 180M in Proteus and preview work fine, it is not broken.

We may be talking about 2 different things here: export preview aka instant preview VS short preview clips you perform before starting an export.

If I don’t trim the movie, short preview work fine too.

The actual speed of the entire process is recorded for the benchmarking state. These stats do not take in to account the download process/writing and some settings that are turned off (e.g. recover original detail).

Are you updating from the in-app updater or from a direct link from the downloads page?

Good feedback! I actually would love to see your spread sheet! Can you post a download link to it here?

Can you share what is broken?

Hey @Imo can you remind me which preview issue you are referring to? It may be best to post a screen recording here to fill us in and also to make sure @david.123 or other users are having the exact same issue

Yes, we are working on this. Currently, you will not be able to save a new preset when building off of a premade or existing preset.

Can you share your logs here? It looks like you posted them based on @david.123’s feedback but I do not see them

I like this little thing. Before, I had to hover over the filename to get the same result.

I don’t have any problems with the preview like others do, I guess I am lucky.

There is something though I just noticed. When copy/paste settings from one video to another, the grain setting doesn’t get copied/pasted. Small detail but probably easy to fix.

Also I was never able to test other models than Artemis and Proteus. All the others fail - “Error”. I am aware that Iris model requires at least Big Sur but why the others (Gaia, Theia) fail? Anyone else has this issue? It makes me wonder if it’s related to the OS or hardware.

I will try to install Windows 11 through Bootcamp on another similar machine to see if I am lucky. And also to compare the performance.

Running on Catalina, MacPro5,1, 12-core, 64GB RAM, with a Radeon RX 580 8GB VRAM.

Preview bug seems solved in the new Alpha (at least on Mac) - so you might want to try that:
