Topaz Video AI v3.3.4

Thank you! I was able to open the sequence without issue and did not run into a crash. Please forgive me if you have already done so, but can you share your logs and system profile? Feel free to PM me if you do not feel comfortable posting publicly.

I am referring to the preview issues you shared in the screen recording, they are not noticeable. I am also referring to the new issue you shared that I replied to.

v3.3.4 Version is not usable, no videos are loaded in the preview → Back to version 3.3.3. and it works.

Can you please post logs and a screen recording? Oftentimes it is easiest to share a screen recording for issues like this to quickly show me exactly what is happening. I use Loom for screen recordings since this is a free and easy to use app.

@ida.topazlabs It might be helpful if you can capture and share video from your side also. However, even after enabling Previewing, we can no longer Live preview on the fly. only after the sample is completly rendered. This started with 3.3.4. QA team should test the features throughly prior to release.

After the white arrow there should be a blue line with 46 seconds of rendered video. This stoped happening. Hence you cannot live preview.

@ida.topazlabs This is what I’m talking about: THE PREVIEW bug. I’m not the only one

I had this too. It’s the presets. I tried uninstalling with config saved and it wouldn’t load any video. Then uninstalled and fresh installed with new data and config. It didn’t know anything either. Then disabled default preset and the video loaded.

3.3.4 is buggy though. The preview BUG is annoying. It doesn’t let you skip frames while it’s rendering. Only when the full render of the preview is done…

Oh BTW. On Exports is does work. I’m able to skip forward frames if the LIVE PREVIEW is enabled. On PREVIEWS its a NO GO

I’m not sure what you are saying. You can’t rewind the video when previewing. You simply don’t get any frames when you move the arrow forward or backward. After the preview is FULLY rendered only. You can then move around and skip through it. Previously (3.3.3) you could start to skip forward and backward after the first frames were rendered. This only happens on previewing. When you EXPORT the bug is NOT present.

AUTO-PLAY preview? What does that have to do with previewing already rendered frames? I didn’t have this enabled… ever. Still worked before 3.3.4. The option you are referring to just auto plays when the preview is finished rendering without the user having to press play…

I’ve sent a FLAG with a message

Yes, it’s activated. I’ll do a video capture of the problem when I get home in 2 hours.

I just noticed the BUG only occurs when export settings are set to VIDEO. Image sequence works as normal. Frames can be skipped forward and backward while the preview is rendering. I tried ProRes, H265 and H264

Here’s a video showing the bug. You’ll have to wait until the end of the rendering to read the preview.

Here’s a video showing how the software crashes when an image sequence is imported.
This phenomenon also occurs in a virtual machine with the same Windows, the same CPU, …

I’ve sent them a similar video and Ida said she doesn’t see anything wrong. Oh, and the AUTO PREVIEW you are pointing at doesn’t have anything to do with this issue. It’s only an option so you don’t have to press play after the preview is fully rendered.

Have you tried dragging the first frame from explorer to the TVEAI window?
