I’m excited to try out Apollo Fast!
Keep up the good work Topaz!

I’m waiting to see when it will have linear speed reduction and increase like in proDAD ReSpeedR. Because I really like the speed modification, the solution is also better in VAI, but not being able to use more speed within a video is still a problem.

I dunno what to say, but even in this version the preview gets stuck shortly after beginning of the processing. :eyes:

when playing portrait (iphone, maybe others too) video the video even without generating anything, when played in topaz, has the correct rotation but is stretched out horizontally. If an output is generated, that output appears correct but the original video playing along side it is still stretched out. Happens in the various preview-comparison modes.

Encoding and video and sound are out of sync

This is a known issue that we are working to resolve. This will not affect the export of the file and you can open the preview in an external media player to see a correct display of the preview.

Hi Lee!

Can you share the input and export for the file’s audio being out of synch?

You can securely submit your files(s) to our Dropbox using the link below. Please be sure to send me a note to let me know you sent something.

The new Apollo Fast V1 works even better for irregular framerate videos (with replace duplicate frames at 10%), but still introduces these “starry” artifacts, which are visible in such moments:

For the following screen I used:

ffmpeg "-hide_banner" "-nostdin" "-y" "-nostats" "-t" "30" "-ss" "1.869" "-i" "W:/Video/Dungeons & Dragons - Episode 25 - Citadel of Shadow.mkv" "-flush_packets" "1" "-sws_flags" "spline+accurate_rnd+full_chroma_int" "-color_trc" "1" "-colorspace" "6" "-color_primaries" "6" "-filter_complex" "tvai_fi=model=apf-1:slowmo=1:rdt=0.01:fps=60:device=0:vram=1:instances=1,tvai_up=model=prob-3:scale=0:w=2818:h=2160:preblur=0:noise=0:details=0.02:halo=0.1:blur=0:compression=0.09:estimate=20:prenoise=0.06:device=0:vram=1:instances=1,scale=w=2818:h=2160:flags=lanczos:threads=0,colorspace=ispace=5:space=6:primaries=6:trc=1,split=2[out1][out2]" "-map" "[out1]" "-c:v" "tiff" "W:/Temp/234418827/temp/_tvai_402636664/%06d.tiff" "-map" "[out2]" "-c:v" "h264_nvenc" "-profile:v" "high" "-preset" "medium" "-pix_fmt" "yuv420p" "-b:v" "7.5M" "-map_metadata" "0" "-movflags" "use_metadata_tags+write_colr " "-map_metadata:s:v" "0:s:v" "-an" "-metadata" "videoai=Slowmo 100% and framerate changed to 60 using apf-1 ignoring duplicate frames. Enhanced using prob-3 auto with recover details at 2, dehalo at 10, reduce noise at 0, sharpen at 0, revert compression at 9, and anti-alias/deblur at 0. Changed resolution to 2818x2160" "W:/Temp/234418827/previews/Dungeons & Dragons - Episode 25 - Citadel of Shadow_1_apf1_prob3.mp4"

Usually, it appears in the interpolated frames only (calculations go awry a bit?). Replace Duplicate Frames option can be ON or OFF.
It can only get better from here on though, I bet!

I just sent the file to dropbox

like with the previous model, MAC Mini M2 can’t load/open videos!! Installed 3.2.2 again…works!
frustrating that 3.2.3 and 4 don’t work.

The original video was sent to dropbox. The encoded video was sent yesterday.

I only located two TVAI exports and not the input. Also, I do not see any instances of audio synching issues, which media player are you using? I would recommend switching audio players just to ensure that the issue is not with the player.

Thank you for updating me. We have not yet found the cause of this issue and are still investigating this. You can perform a clean install of v3.2.4 clearing plists and installing from the downloads page to fix this.

We are looking for commonalities with the users who are having this issue.

Are you using an external drive?
Does this occur with all files or only certain files that you have observed?

If you install 3.2.4, the sound is out of sync, delete it and install 3.2.2 again, it’s normal
I amI don’t use an external drive, I use mvssd
I use km player
occur with all files

I love the new Apollo Fast model, it works perfect with slow motion 4x with videos with fast motion.

Hi Lee, the second comment was not about your issue. This was in response to an import issue.

I am still not able to locate your input file, can you try again? I will also need the exact reproduction steps.

That’s a strange problem you have. What video file format do you import?
Are you exporting as a sequence of images or as a recompiled file?
Personally, mp4 or Mov or MKV, works fine. I don’t have any sync problems.
