Hello everyone. So, im having an issue where I’m attempting to do a project where i render a movie from Black and white to color. The issue is Topaz rendering the movie to individual frames to my external hard drive. It renders from 4.5 to 2.2FPS, yet, theres only 620 frames total within the folder on my external hard drive. Before i went to bed last night, the folder would show that it was at frame 4000+, then all of a sudden it would go back down and show the folder only had 620, and then back again to 4000+. However, this morning its 47% complete, yet only 620 frames are showing and nothing else. I tried doing this the other day, and topaz said it was complete but only rendered like 500 frames to my external hard drive! I cant run it to my normal hard drive because it will just eat up my space. I’m running Apple Mac Mini with the Silicon M2 chip.
Here are some pictures of what I’m talking about. It still says its rendering, but the folder hasnt been modified in quite a while, meaning nothing new has been added to it even though its still rendering
Hello,
Could you send us a note at help@topazlabs.com with the full log files from the app?
To gather logs, please select Help > Logging and make sure that there is a check mark next to File Logging. Next, recreate the issue and then return to the Help menu and select > Get Logs for Support and attach the “logsForSupport” file to your reply.
Yes i can. However i did find something interesting just now. It will render the frames straigt to my SSD, but the frames do the issue stated above when rendering to my external hard drive. Even though it ate up a lot of space, I tried it and it did actually render the frames like its supposed to. My external drive is formatted in ExFat, since I sometimes transfer data to windows computers. Could that be in issue? Ive rendered many videos with no fail, but again when rendering jpegs, pngs or Tiffs it always stops at frame 620 but topaz still says its rendering. Ill even push the 3 dots next to the render, and push the “show in finder” button and it takes me to the folder with 620 pics. I can still send the log files but im not sure if theres an issue that could be solved here with this new information
