We have a new beta available for testing.

Changelog from 4.0.3.2.b

  • Crop now applies to previews, not just exports
  • Disable telecine options for image sequences.
  • Added helpful user information to preferences.
  • Improved non-square SAR videos.
  • Fix zoom with non-standard SAR videos.
  • Fixes to Enhancement filter not respecting video resolution.
  • Fixed zoom for upscaled videos.

Known Issues

  • Inconsistent “Preview X frames” enable status.
  • Preview frames syncing may be off by roughly 1/2 a frame.
  • Rotation w/ previews will not be rotated.
  • Stuttering on entrance-to/leaving previews / looping.

Love the 5 frame preview, it’s much quicker to test enhancements.

When I zoom using the scroll wheel and I browse the frames, this works! However as soon as I go outside of the section that has been enhanced, zoom goes back to “normal”. Why?

What I would REALLY like to have is to be able to pick a frame and test multiple settings. e.g. adjust manual settings and the new frame gets re-enhanced in REAL TIME?

I am getting good at picking frames that are typical or challenging in a video, this would make 4.0 more useful!

  • When I zoom in via mouse wheel in the preview and then move the view via holding the left mousebutton and when I move the mouse as far to the left or right as possible suddenly the zoom level is revert back to fit level.

  • the timeline zoom automatically zooms in dramatically when making the preview so that I have a very long way to zoom out again via the scroll wheel when the video file is long like a movie

Looking good so far. I undervolted my 4090 GPU with 0,960V @ 2700 Mhz. Processing speed is quite good with low GPU tempertuers and moderate power consumption!

Not sure if already asked, but how to preview in the new UI what is getting processed?
You can render a preview of x seconds, but in the previous UI you could play in the preview window the video until the last processed frame

What is “getting processed” is named Live Preview…

it will come back in one of the next updates…

It was one of my most liked (now missed) features…

The grid of Previews only scrolls one way, down and out. Are we locked into that again? This grid just keeps going down, past the bottom of the window.

Also, I’m guessing here, but I think most people using a software like this have decent sized monitors. (I’m on 2 - 32" screens) I don’t understand why the list items need such a condensed description, cut loose boys! :slight_smile:

Also, can we have a default action (on a double-click) like view in external monitor or open file explorer. And also, there are not that many options there, do we really need a separate submenu for those options.

I’ve noticed, that selecting Crop will totally reset the settings for processing.

  1. Dropping the video into TVAI:

There’s also an old (I think) bug with older presets, which would make the video’s processed height (or width) 0, and, in result, if 0 is not caught/corrected before pressing Preview, it’ll make the whole previewing impossible, even if I enter the correct the number in the corresponding field after the fact. The preview parts of the screen will be totally blank, albeit the preview processing will take place (a correct one, I assume).

Thank you very much. Unfortunately I cannot install the beta because I am using Zorin OS 16.3 (Based on Ubuntu 22.04 LTS (GA)) and an older libc6 version is still used there (Ubuntu GLIBC 2.31-0ubuntu9.12)

I really like ZorinOS so far… they have gone pretty far with it. Still like 5 years behind windows for the UI functionality… but I guess that is why mac exists still.

Trimming can be done using the In - Out buttons in the app’s menu, the highlighted region represents the time range that will be exported:
