Installing now. Thanks for the update

My Nvidia RTX 3060 Ti is no longer fully utilized like in the previous versions. Again, only about 30% is used, which is why only just under 4.5fps is achieved and thus the conversion takes a very long time.

Check your settings in “Preferences” to be sure they are the same. I’ve a RTX 3060 and get it fully loaded and same performance as with breviuos versions.

the gui crashed and ffpmg was still running. I uploaded the log files to the drop box.

Thank you. I’m happy previews can be deleted from my swap space now without having to close the app first.

Can we expect avisynth script processing?

OK, I just finished running stabilisation tests with Virtuadub2’s DeShaker 3.1 vs TVAI’s own stabilisation filter and VD came out on top as not only did it stabilise rotation, but it did so without the horrid blurring artefacts, further, TVAI did not do as good as a job stabilising the video even without Reduce Jittery Motion enabled.

====== TVAI video with RJM enabled ======

====== TVAI video without RJM enabled ======

My theory is that the mandatory edge blur filter is causing this, and if not, then some other component is causing this wretched issue, but in any event, this program won’t be replacing VD for me as VD is much better at stabilisation mainly due to advanced user controlled settings being featured within VD as the end user has much more control over the filter.

TVAI’s one-size-fits all “streamlined” settings are woefully lacking, and the end user usually has to wait for developers to fine tune the settings, solution: allow the end user to have much more robust settings, that way most of the tuning and the like will be freed up for developers!

NOTE: I’m also uploading my test videos and media info, as well as the logs and donor files…

EDIT: I will add that when used in conjunction with TVAI, it does work rather well, as VD does a much better job at roll stabilisation, so it can be first done in VD and re-worked with TVAI, but this is still a much more time-consuming solution as TVAI is much faster than VD.

EDIT 2: I mistakenly uploaded the wrong VD video, will update soon!

EDIT3: Uploaded tests, I hope this proves useful for you folks, also, I included a black border to compensate for the terrible editing, as the horizontal stabilising is large enough to move the picture out of frame, I use this method as this video was found, not self-shot, so I have no control over the crappy editing.

EDIT 4: Apologies if this sounds like I’m knocking the program, no, far from it, I’m critiquing it against a strong alternate filter that also specialises in stabilisation, as I have a vested interest in this program’s progress and livelihood, so any critique from me is coming from someone that loves using the program as it’s an undeniably valuable tool to have!

Does this update finally fixes the crash on Mac Pros 2019?

Nope, it does not. Use AVFS to load your AVS scripts in TVAI.

the application crashed when I closed a preview. I think that s what happened before. i upload the log files.

I noticed that if I drag the seeker along the video which is still being “previewed” (the TIFF files are still being created), and I pull this seeker a bit too far (to a non-existent frame, or close to it), this beta WILL crash without any warning. It’s probably “out-of-bound” type of bug.

Something is wrong with the preview. :eyes:

The newest beta does not clean up the temp files still

I have the same settings as previous version where the gpu loaded 80-100%. Tested other videos. Fresh windows 11 installation. Only 20-30% gpu used. I have the same issue on the latest final too.
Maybe that issue appears since i uptated to the last nvidia driver. Can you confirm you are on the latest driver?

Another Issue:
Ive got an Error from Windows 11 Smart App Control while running an upscale task:

“Part of this app was blocked.
Some features of C:\Program Files\Topaz Labs LLC\Topaz Video AI\ffmpeg.exe may not work because we cannot confirm who published cublasLt64_11.dll.”

Request:
Please add the enableAnonDataCollection setting in the gui so i dont have to add this manually in the registry.

I use regular ffmpeg to process avisynth script and pipe it to topaz ffmpeg.
Is AVFS in some way better for this?

The crash problem on Mac Pros might be fixed? need to do more test but so far the 2 renders have been successful, although with videos less than a minute out of fear of crash, but those same videos crashed with the earlier version so im hopeful. going to do a longer video later today.

looks like it’s been fixed, I did experienced some crashes in previous versions 3, ran many upscales with 3.1.7 and 3.1.8 with no crash on Mac Studio
