Topaz Video AI 7.1.4 + 7.1.5

TopazVideoAI-7.1.4 is the current version.

The URL: Legacy Applications | Other Apps the file that gets downloaded is: TopazVideoAI-7.1.3 as of 10/9/2025 at 10:28 PM Pacific. Just thought I would mention it.

It may be that if one installs 7.1.3 they get a prompt to upgrade to 7.1.4, so no great loss. I haven’t tried it since like the rest of us, I have had 7.1.4 for a while.

here is 7.1.5  Topaz Video AI 7.1.4

Hi, I saw today that the StarLight model received a 3.5 GB update on my 7.1.5 version.
My question is: What’s new in this update? And oddly enough, I tried to bypass the update to render, but the button was grayed out. I have to update to be able to access the render button again.

Prog always crashes/hangs when I close it. Even If I just open it and don’t actually use it - and then try closing it.

I was unsure of where to post this because of the abrupt discontinuation of Topaz Ai so I am going to ask for it here…

Can we get all of the bugs fixed, that were left in Topaz Video AI, ???

This would be great since we were left with so many bugs and almost every time a bug was fixed, a new bug would appear in the following updates. Thanks.

Are we going to get a new update soon with two or three model updates. Model updates by far is the #1 thing most users are looking for.

Look at it this way, you, and a lot of other people paid Topaz a whole lot of money to be a beta testers. Version 1 through 7 were all beta projects, until the introduction of Topaz Video v1. I suspect v7 and older are considered legacy builds and will no longer be supported. Don’t count on any bug fixes. This is why I stopped buying at v3. I like Gigapixel, so I’m not totally sour on all Topaz products, but I really think they took a lot of people for a ride on this one.

I was just informed yesterday that there will be fixes to the leftover bugs in Video Ai. The fixes are in progress.

If they do, that will be the first time they have ever done that.

lol, they’re offering “lifetime” again. Fool me once…

Where did you see that?

Got it in my email. I should clarify, the offer is $163/year for life. No thanks Topaz.

I reinstalled 7.1.5 and ran the mSL download overnight. This morning it was still “finalizing” and the process used 3-5% of CPU time. I cancelled it.

I’m still waiting for the famous new version… I don’t think it will ever come out at this point.

ISSUE: on MacOS M1 Max the beginning of rendered clips is frequently composed of black frames.

The upgrade pop up is driving me nuts. Is there any benefit to using 7.1.4/7.1.5 over 7.1.3? Bug fixes?

Since 5.3.6, 90% of bugs are unpatched, you must establish a very strict procedure for moving around

I’ve backed down to 7.1.0. Nothing after that made any difference that I could see.

I even keep reverting to 7.0.2…
