I don’t need “simultaneously license” family participation, TVAI isn’t Netflix. I dont’ need multi gpu support and other things. So if the new costs are 900$/year, then this is an increase of 600% to me (from 150$). My annual renewal agree was for the $150 and If they make $900 out of it, I’ll cancel…but for now I’m waiting, we will see what they do.

If the answer is No then all you have to do is renewal your Licenses to an Auto-Renewal Subscription you only need two qualifying applications and you’ll get a full Founders Topaz Studio including seven applications and a hell of a lot more including Topaz Video and Starlight the price of an upgrade around $150 give or take and the price is locked in as long as you maintain your Auto-Renewal Subscription
So no not $900

AND-E yes I have a TVAI license and “auto updates” is active but I didn’t did that it was already activated and I can’t change it TVAI|850x271 so this is already strange
and I have a old Gigapixel license without subsciption, so if i renew this one I get the full Studio for 150$ annual also next year? So whats the topaz labs goal sound a bit confusing to me, it gets cheaper as more you take? 
Yes, if you also renewal your Gigapixel Licence and have Auto-Renewal active you will indeed have access to the full Founders Topaz Studio for the price of the two Subscriptions combined about $200 give or take and the price will remain the same for as long as you maintain your Subscriptions.
In light of that, and this is entirely up to you, there is a cheaper alternative but (there’s always a But) if you purchase or renewal for Photo AI although the price will initially be more you can allow your Video AI Subscription to lapse and because, you’ll still have two qualifying applications you’ll still retain the full Founders Status and have access to Topaz Video for the combined price of Photo AI and Gigapixel which is $150.
The Topaz goal here is to try and soften the blow for discontinuing life time licences in other words once you cancel your Subscription you no longer get to keep the final version you were using when you cancelled.
This offer ends on September 26th

Thanks for the explanation. I have know renewed my Gigapixel subscription. The part “have Auto-Renewal active” is unclear to me, because I have no such function, by default on both of my products it says me “upgrades: active”
Yes, this appear to be correct you can double check by coming out of the My Products page and Click on Subscriptions if their in there then, you’re good to go

Yes. Not basic. With Video & Gigapixel enabled, it’s around a couple hundred a year plus whatever tax bracket you’re in.
I tried the new Video program and it seems to be coming along pretty well.

So, to summarize, if I buy giga, pixel, or one of the other applications in studio, which would give me two…

I get the founders edition of studio, which is basically all of the good stuff of a pro license except no seats and possibly less cloud tokens
And this comes in at $200 a year, which is entirely a decent price for everything.

It’s been written several times in this forum that it only requires two of the three apps on autopay to qualify for Founder’s status. It’s even been suggested - by dakota.wixom, I believe - that to get the best subscription price, you can use the two least-expensive apps: Gigapixel AI and Photo AI to qualify, and that it’s possible to let Video AI expire after the transition phase has completed to save $.
That would be tempting - I have all three. But I read in one probably-impossible-to-find-now-post that there is a subtle difference in the permissions if you’re keeping all three apps in the subscription. It had to do with future downloads of the perpetual versions, affording somewhat more flexibility than if only two of the apps are used to determine the subscription cost.
Please don’t hold me to 100% clarity and accuracy on this. Topaz Labs, bless their little hearts, have made this transition exceptionally confusing and convoluted, in my opinion.

It’s too expensive for hobbyists like myself. We’re living in subscription h*ll now, with everything from desktop applications, smartphone apps and if the rumor is true, we’ll be renting Windows 13 from a cloud. Subscriptions are costly and an absolute mess to manage.
I know you liked my idea of using Slm + Proteus afterwards… I am now using the new Sharp that was just released yesterday and I tried the same with that and the results are still astounding but a little quicker, which is cool!

Starlight mini then Proteus or Starlight Sharp then proteus?
Or are you just using starlight sharp?
Both FPS & SPF are better and the quality is a tad better (in my humble opinion) also.
I always used Slm because I thought the quality of Sharp wasn’t sharp but now I think they improved it.
