I’m confused about this message board, and I’m also not sure where to post this, but here goes:

I really REALLY want topaz video AI (or any of your programs) to NOT open up my preview projects. It so often becomes a problem, as I often delete the files that I used, thus making topaz not open correctly and defaulting to some weird setup that I don’t want, nor can figure out how to get out of (as the obvious button doesn’t do what I want).
I just wanna open topaz video AI and drag and drop my video file, without being introduced to my old videos that I’m done with.

I guess what I’m asking is: Where can I turn this “load the old projects” feature off?

This version downloads correct models for RTX 3090 and, after re-downloading Python part of SL Mini model, the SL initialization is quicker and its preview also seems to function in a more responsive and predictable way - nice!

I just click on close video, then I click the projects tab and click the 3 dot menu and select delete project. That clears the project history.

Does anyone know if this version fixes the re-download issue from 7.1.1?

After running an update from Topaz Video AI, the following message appeared and Video AI no longer launches.

The code cannot continue because aiengine.dll was not found. Reinstalling the program may resolve this issue.

When clicking on both DMG and PKG links this is the message I am receiving :

This XML file does not appear to have any style information associated with it. The document tree is shown below.

</Error>

Any change you can fix this?

Out of curiosity, where did 7.1.2 go? Because I see that it seems to have been skipped.

It’s sort of like, where did Windows 9 go?

Uninstall the current version and then download a clean installer, that sounds like the dll file did not install correctly for you.

If you run into the issue again, email the support team at help@topazlabs.com with a screenshot of the warning.

The team is currently working on this at this time, will update once they have it sorted out.

You can try clearing the cookies and cache for your browser as that has worked for some users.

Can’t install Starlight Mini after Update. Had to reinstall the model. But it stays on step “finalizing” forever.
Downgraded to 7.1.2 and Starlight Mini is working again. Seems to be a bug.

update, app broken, rinse repeat. maybe test things before releasing them.

Yeah, you could say that, hahaha.

It happened to me also. I lost patience and went back to 7.02. Working fine now.

Should be able to try it now as they pushed a change to the server to resolve this.

We have had several users report that the “finalizing” step did finally finish after awhile but that the display time bar did not match the actual progress and it took longer than expected.

Thanks for clarifying. But i will stay on 7.1.2 for now cause i dont experienced the bugs which are fixed on 7.1.3.

I had to downgrade to TVAI 7.0.0 , download all the models. Then I copied the models folder to another hard drive and upgraded to 7.1.3. After the install I deleted the models folder it created and copied across the models folder I had created in 7.0. it now works perfectly whether in offline or online mode and there are no redownload issues. Hope this helps.

Just updated to 7.1.3 today and now VAI is crashing after a process is started (Proteus). I’m going to roll back to 7.1.1 which worked fine.
