Something strange happens when you apply a crop and then pause the processing and continue it after. After continue the new file is just right but the first file suddenly shows black bars again where none were during prevew in mpc-hc at the time of processing to this file. I did not wait until the whole movie finished so I can’t tell what happens if Video AI will merge together the parts.

Interesting and good catch! So the sequence of WHEN you check the checkbox changes the preset dialog behaviour!

For me it’s natural to enter the text for the preset name THEN click the checkbox. This just makes it disappear and won’t save the export settings to the preset!

Your steps of clicking the checkbox FIRST work! But it still needs to be fixed so that it doesn’t disappear regardless of order of operations used.

Also, it still disappears if you click anywhere outside of the dialog - should not do that either.

that is to easy that worked already in previous versions when i was still happy those days are long gone maybe topaz can do something with the ffmeg 7.0 hdr feature good to have open source

Is QA team non-existent in this company?

  1. Previews disappearing when clicking other generated previews
  2. Weird out-of-screen video image appearing from time to time

Also, face restoration is really looking good now. Time for whole body skin to look great like face. Please make models fix blurry skin of humans. The skin should look good like restored faces.

How could a serious company release beta version like these recent ones with things broken?

Experiencing the following issues:

  • Export directory preference not being saved, defaulting to the original file folder every time I open the app, regardless as to whether I change it.
  • My default settings are Prores HQ. Every time I reopen the app it reverts back to Prores Proxy.
  • To save export settings when saving a preset you need to check the box first before typing, otherwise it closes when you check the box.
  • The application window constantly opens in odd resolutions with the top of the window out of frame do you cannot hit the maximize window button. Ideally the last window sizing is remembered by the system.

Bored! This version has more bugs than the previous version. Everywhere I click there are bugs, it seems like the code but there is no test. Is it that difficult to change UI code?

New issue found: if you disable the crash recovery options, the output produced won’t play properly on VLC and doesn’t seek properly regardless of player used.

OH good I’m not crazy and have also noticed that previews were just disappearing after clicking on a different one. I had to roll-back to 5.0.4 to get it to work again.

There is a problem with the preview section settings!
I wanted to preview A and B for 1 second each.
However, C, the section between A and B, was previewed automatically!

Yes they had even alpha versions these were most of the times even better than the already good beta version and the beta was nearly as good as the final version. Of course the alpha versions these days are also great in version 5
1.x and like in the days better than the official ones, but alpha versions are actually alpha versions and are only available for employees hence the employees use a fine working release alpha, but somewhere down the line alpha beta final bugs slip in and we as consumer have the buggy version nowadays while the employees have the version that always worked the alpha version.

Further issues I have identified:

  • The temporary file in the source folder is not getting deleted after export. Similarly, if I cancel an export it is leaving files all over the place and not removing them.
  • Previews sometimes disappear at random.
  • If I create one preview, then select another place on the timeline to create a preview, sometimes it creates a huge preview between the two points, not a preview for the amount of seconds I selected.
  • Getting random FFmpeg errors when trying to export certain videos in Prores and cannot export, need to switch to H256 or another codec.

in the preferences is an option to enable old model versions!

Hi,

I cant enable license. When I press Activate, the web page is opened, after logging it says all done, I can close the page but the app still shoving the activate button

Using Firefox as browser, but same behavior with edge too.
