Please upload videos that are not working or have any type of conflicts to this DropBox Folder .

NOTICE: Automatic crash reports include log files that may include the names of processed files.

If you wish to disable crash reporting set the enableAnonDataCollection registry key to false in Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Topaz Labs LLC\Topaz Video AI BETA. A future release will allow this option to be set from the preferences panel.

Known Issues

  • Side by side preview may not work for some videos (let us know if you face such issue)
  • Previously stored presets may not work, create new ones
  • Preview mismatch for certain VOB files
  • Some videos can still have some seeking issues in Preview/Export
  • HDR support is missing
  • Some quality mismatch between 2.6.4 and 3.0
  • Output bitrate is not reset to Preferences bitrate when importing a new file
  • Failure can happen when resizing to a big resolution like 4k or 8k without a warning if the machine runs out of memory
  • Speed can be slower than 2.6.4 with some models on some machines. We’ll be working on speed optimization in the next weeks
  • Preview with image sequence doesn’t work or plays at 25fps
  • Preview files do not always delete when removed from GUI

Problems and Solutions:

  • Make sure Max. Memory Usage in the Preferences is set to a high number
  • If the Gaia model fails on Mac, try clean installing the app using the DMG file posted above
  • If export fails, try using Transcode/None/Auto in Audio Settings in Preferences

  • installer seems to be corrupted ! getting an issue with Veai.cab file !
  • Microsoft Edge Blocked the download, and had to force it. (first time it’s happening)

Can you try redownloading?

The correct SHA-256 hash for the Windows installer is: 9eb90dcebc0715070f3d2fbc69ba5392c804334d0b8ecce8183274664b50575f, you may want to make sure your hash matches.

I already downloaded it twice. maybe an issue with the smart screen blocking it ?

Please verify that the SHA-256 hash matches. You can check the hash using the following command in Powershell:

certutil -hashFile '.\TopazVideoAIBeta-3.0.0.10.b.msi' SHA256

3rd download worked and this time didn’t got the smartscreen alert. i’ll check the 2 previous files for Hash !

It took 3 runs of the installer to get it to work.

1st time - corrupt files in cab error
2nd time - installed, but created NO shortcuts anywhere
3rd time - installed and created shortcuts properly

This was all with the exact same download. Only downloaded the file one time.

Edit : the download 1 and 2 have same Hash and couldn’t install and give Cab error
the third download has different Hash and worked for me.

je ne comprend pas pourquoi certains ont du mal à installer ces versions beta, je n’ai jamais eu de problèmes à ce niveau …

Nous non plus, mais il y a du y avoir un problème, du coté des serveurs de topaz pendant quelques secondes ou autre chose qui a fait que le fichier est arrivé apparemment corrompue. “Sh*t Happens” comme on dit ;). l’installation est ok désormais de mon coté.

Hi Lee,

Given that you had the corrupt cab error on your first run I would highly suggest you use the steps above to compare your installer’s SHA-256 hash against 9eb90dcebc0715070f3d2fbc69ba5392c804334d0b8ecce8183274664b50575f. If it’s different you will likely want to redownload and reinstall, as there may be unusual issues.

This is a minor housekeeping issue but needs fixing at some point for the sake of consistency. On Windows, the registry key values are written with inconsistent slashes:

Lets get these all set to the same (preferably ‘\’ slashes).

I’m pretty sure those with the wrong slashes won’t even work. Windows doesn’t work that way. No wonder the folder preference settings never work right.

Installed after second download.

Show export command has the temp folder instead of the export folder for the output file.

Unable to install. Installer still hangs. Same issue since beta 7. All versions up to and including beta 6 install on the same machine with the same configuration without problems.

These are the last lines from the log before the installer has to be cancelled via the “Cancel” dialogue, and then terminated via task manager (no other way to end the installation process):
