Does this fix resolve the artifact issues for the local recover v3 and wonder v2 models, or does it only address the models that weren’t loading?
I haven’t received anything in my DMs yet, but I did post in the thread and provided test examples. If the local wonder v2 is fixed, could you please send me the fix as well? I’ll test it out and let you know how it goes.

I’m now getting the reported program previewing stall with Recover Faces v2 Creative.
Yes, two of us had already reported it. And now three with you. It’s especially noticeable if several people are manipulating the adjustment slider and switching between v1 and v2.
Ah, yes, corrected my message. Standard Max is in Upscaling models! For Adobe, we already talked about this, there is no shift there, the models they implemented are existing models. Multiple companies use our models within their interface, nothing is shifted.
@drdre1411 - can you send your Logs (Help > Open Logs folder) to support@topazlabs.com or to me by DM and I’ll look at what is causing Wonder 1 to fail.
It would be for models failing on some specific machines, it is not related to artifacts. That is still being looked into and seems to pinpoint to specific graphic cards and or overclocked behavior. We are troubleshooting with some users for the artifacts, but no fix is ready for that.
@andymagee-52287 - can you send to support@topazlabs.com your logs and we can add you to the development team ticket looking into this.
I could imagine that both types of artifacts are interconnected.
I wish i had a Nvidia Pro GPU still.
They where more stable in this regard.
Speaking of artifacts, I noticed that Wonder V2 worked very well locally with 1K resolution images. Better than V1. But I experienced the same artifacts you had on your images with a 12.5 megapixel photo (4080x3060 pixels).
Yes, i had a good result with a small image too.
I usually dont work with a large batch of photos but I did it now. If I edit 2 photos at least once will Topaz Photo crash? Sometimes, even more often. I use Wonder2, denoising, and adjust color, and when I add a step, Topaz dies. Some days, some models do not work. Error loading model. Both cloud and locally. Todays model, not working, is Recover 3. Last night it was scratch and dust that did not work, day before that, wonder 2. Both cloud and local. Have reinstalled clean Topaz Photo. Not fun reinstall since loading all models takes 30min. I dont use VPN. I have turned off Windows Defender. When cloud renders dont work with “error loading model,” I start to belive its not my computer having the problem but Topaz, and since there is no status page for Topaz servers I as a user cant know for sure. Windows lates Nvidia studio drivers lates. RTX 5090 mobile. 22+ gig free vram. 64 gig main memory. 30 + crashes in 2 hours. Models not loading (and its just a small message that is easy to miss. I wait for 10 minutes for something to happen, and by luck I can see the error, but Topaz “processes” the file just like it works, tricking the user.
Again, like all your apps, when I open this it automatically suggests enlarging x2.
Why is this? Am I the only user who doesn’t want to enlarge everytime he uses Topaz Photo?
Please make the default x1 and save a lot of unnecessary data crunching and hard disc memory.
@mauritz.nordlund - when you get error loading model nest time, close and reopen the app, then send your app logs (help menu > Open logs folder) to support@topazlabs.com and we can have a look and provide fixes based on what occurs in the logs
@john.hurd-31562 - this means you have Auto-Pilot on, with Upscale on in Preferences to apply Upscale when a small image is detected. You can go in your Preferences and turn off the Upscale to never occur. If/when an upscale needed, you can then manually add it.
A lot of random crashes in the most recent update. It wasn’t like this before.
seeing you are forcing NVIDIA card in AI Processor. Test putting this back to default supported option: Edit menu > Prefeerences > General > AI processor > Auto. This will use RAM + VRAM. If issues remain on Auto, send logs by DM or to support@topazlabs.com and we can have a look.
Hi,
since the last Update, i cant work with nearly any filters, all times a failure occurs, Like: Model not found. for example, by denoise or super focus. Repair does not bring success. Right now i reinstall the older version to hope that save my day. waiting for the support answer.
DM me or send to support@topazlabs.com your apps logs (it will still have 1.3.1 ones, send them all to me) and I will have a look ==> Help > Open Logs Folder > Send all logs in folder and we can send back steps to fix this
It would be really important to me that Wonder 2 Local achieves the same quality as Wonder 2 Cloud.
I would even buy an RTX 5000 Backwell Pro for that, but unfortunately it would still have too little memory (48 GB).
My impression was that you are fascinated with forms and detail present in the real life (e.g. insects), not in AI-generated ones. No?..
