Topaz Photo AI v3 final & beta latest versions do not show original image preview, shows black blank area instead!

Topaz Photo AI v3 final & beta latest versions do not show original image preview, instead of the preview a blank black surface is displayed and i cannot compare original image with the edited image. only final result is displayed.

the thumbnail preview of the entire image also displays a blank black surface and i cannot see where exactly the 100% view is located.

i have been trying this with a 30.000-pixel long side image, but this problem never happened before in the previous versions with large images 30.000-pixel long.

can you please help fixing this issue?

i use a MBP M1 max laptop with 64 GB RAM. so the computer is a powerful one.

I have the same problem. I am also working with an M1 Max MacBook Pro. I am on version 3.1.3

The problem still persists. I think it has to do with the size of an image. When I am opening smaller images with up to 20.000 pixel in size, both the preview image and original image show side by side. As soon as I try to edit a larger file with >20.000 pixel in size the original image doesn’t show anymore. There is just a black screen on one side and the visible preview image on the other side.

same here, the problem persists. i did not have such a problem and in previous versions. it would deal with 30.000-pixel files with no problem.

I updated to Version 3.2.0 and the problem is still the same. I initially bought this software two months ago to replace Topaz Sharpen AI. But so far it is practically unusable if you are working with larger panoramic image files. I would appreciate if someone from the Topaz support could comment on this issue and when it will be solved.

same here. it seems we are the only two talking about this problem, and no topaz team member is interested in solving our problem.

interestingly, this problem did not exist before.

hope somebody sees this conversation and reports it to the software developers.

What makes this even worse is that I was using Topaz Sharpen and Topaz Denoise for the last couple of years without any update and everything was working fine. I will try to contact the support through my Topazlabs account.

I contacted the support now and they replied that they have no fix for the problem currently. They want to contact me again as soon as they have found a solution.

thanks for the update and reporting it to the support. i hope they will fix it soon. i am not sure this is a priority issue them or not…
