Nice, another version……but……what I miss is saving corrected raw files as .dng to Capture One. Will it ever happen or should C1 users look elswhere ??
Hi
After that small patch my Topaz don’t work anymore. Can you help me ? After open the Page is see a white screen. and then the program doesn’t work. and have to force the program to close,
The first time the suggestions work for me. But why does it ask me if I want to apply the suggestions to all images if I opened only one? Also I applied all suggestions but only the upscale tab appears in the list above so I can not do further adjustments to the other settings!
I have installed it. I previously downgraded to version 2.4.2 because version 3.1+ was causing all these terrible problems including, hanging when finished editing and re-importing back to LR Classic from Photo AI plug in. I took a chance and did the update to 3.1.3. as you indicated that it should fix that problem. Mostly I think it did. Now when I invoke 2 or more of the automatic suggestions such as balance color and denoise and I accept and then save back to LR, Photo AI still hangs and I get the spinning pinwheel however, that did not last forever as it did previously. Now it just spins for about one minute or more before it closes on its own. We are getting closer but when you are editing a 100 photos a day, that’s a lot of wasted time waiting for an app to close and give you back over to the host program.
I’m still running my iMac intel based i7 with 64G of Ram and 8 GB dedicated video Ram in a AMD Radeon Pro 5500 graphics card. I’m running OS Sonoma 14.5 Thanks for keeping up and trying to help everyone get the most out of this software. It may not seem like it but you are appreciated. The products are appreciated even when they frustrate the customers.
“I join you in your pain.”. I also use Capture One. I process my RAW files in TPAI. Usually to DNG files, but that doesn’t work now. And I have to to TIFF (but it’s not the same anymore).
I don’t renew my licence. I’m waiting for them to improve it.
I am slowly looking around for a program other than TPAI to do this for me.
Like the previous version, in this one too, as soon as you access the object removal function the GPU starts working from 45% to 85% without doing anything, making it impossible to use the selection tool, which moves in large jerks. In practice, the function for removing objects from photos is no longer usable, at least as far as I’m concerned.
Similar to you, I have similar hanging / crashing issues since updating to 3.X from 2.4.2.
I’m also running an iMac intel 17 but with 72 GB RAM and a AMD Radeon Pro 5700 XT 16GB.
Running Ventura 13.0.1
Mine hangs when using the automatic suggestions that are more than one.
It works with Denoise, Sharpening but if I try resize it hangs and freezes the iMac and causes a black screen.
I have restart the computer by turning the iMac off and on at the power
It also hangs after a while if I try to make several changes to the sliders in sharpening to try different variations.
I’ve tried changing the AI processor in preferences from AUTO to CPU.
It seems to be more stable but it is painfully slow now.
There may be compatibility issues by Topaz with the AMD Radeon 5XXX graphics cards.
Topaz had issues with VIDEO AI and the AMD Radeon graphics card so this may be a similar problem
My license expired last week and I’m also waiting for a C1 fix before renewing.
While I appreciate the rendering speedups vs. earlier versions, I’m much more interested in saving DNGs as a Capture One plugin than which menu bar is where. It seems a bit strange given that C1 will export a DNG and I can edit and save that DNG in the TPAI standalone, but not in the plugin.
I know at least one person has reported that 3.1.2 works but I haven’t been able to replicate that, yet.
@Lingyu With me the remove feature With my squirrel Photo .Photo AI is unable remove the Squirrel properly .I have Posted a bug report and Uploaded the file .Now Also Photo AI does same as a plugin too In PhotoShop.
