Topaz Photo AI v1.5.3

First, I just opened TPAI and a photo….the left is bad and the right is good….as you said…if I pull the vertical line from left to right the photo gets worse, more pixilated…is that correct? Wait, I checked again, move the line to the left, the photo get much better…thank you…

Support can potentially help you further, but it seems you’re not using the C1 plugin, but rather using TPAI as an external editor. Make sure you’re selecting the option that begins with “Process with”, as mentioned here in the docs.

Sorry I bothered you all…understood now and working as you noted….it was me….just can’t my left and right straight…LOVE THIS PRODUCT…Thank you, William

Thanks for the update. :+1:

WAIT…I must be seeing things….the picture gets better as I go left….that is final…I just checked again….as I move the line to the left…the photo get better…processed to my corrections…I am really sorry, once again, but that is the truth now….very sorry to keep on with this…but I settled down and all things being equal….it gets better going to the left….sorry for before….Peace to all….William.

What you’re seeing is correct. Everything to the right of the line is new corrected, and everything to the left of the line is the old uncorrected. Regardless of whether you move the line. That’s called PAD. Preforms As Developed.

William,

Have you tried working with Side x Side view, so not confusing which is the processed side?

Dear Anthony,

Thank you! You figured out exactly what my problem was. I need to use “Process with Photo AI” instead of just “Photo AI” which also appears in my C1 menus.

I made a more permanent fix, by going to Capture One/Settings/Plugins and disallowing Photo AI. This prevented the double listing in my “Photos/Edit with”.

I was confused because when I use your other apps: Sharpen, Denoise, Gigapixel, these are listed as their name, not as “Edit with”, and they (unlike Photo AI) DO work as a plugin and save the image back to Capture One. Only Photo AI doesn’t work with that listing.

Suggestion: Topaz could help by putting “disallow Photo AI in Capture One/Settings/Plugins” in your Docs for Photo AI / Capture one.

Thank you again.

Best wishes,

Anthony Lunn
