Topaz Photo AI 2.1.3 Stops Processing Photos While Saving

Topaz Photo AI 2.1.3 stops processing photos while saving when more than one photo is opened, even when saving only one photo at a time.

Steps to reproduce issue:

  1. Open more than one photo. I usually open 10-15.
  2. Edit the photos.
  3. Send 1 or more photos to the Export Queue.
  4. Click the Save button in the Export Queue.
  5. Sometimes the first photo will process and save, and then the second photo will appear to process all the way but will stop and will not save, even after a long time (up to several hours). The remaining photos in the queue are not processed.
  6. Sometimes the first photo will appear to process all the way but will stop and will not save, even after several hours. The remaining photos in the queue are not processed.

This is a really annoying defect. Sometimes I can work around it by clicking Pause Processing, then Close Window, and then save one image at a time. But at other times I can’t even deselect the photos in the batch so I can save one photo at a time. Or else it gets stuck processing only one photo. In cases like these, all I can do is close all the photos or Topaz Photo AI and start over.

See screenshots. There is no log file to provide.

I am having same issue. While I run Topaz AI plugin as a part of my Action. It stops at pause processing.

Topaz Photo AI 2.1.3 again got stuck processing photos while saving yesterday, except this time the progress bar didn’t move at all while processing the first photo. Once again I was able to cancel the queue, but back in the main window, I wasn’t able to deselect all the photos in order to try to save them one at a time. I had to close Topaz Photo AI and start all over with the 8 photos I was working on.

I found the log files in a nonstandard location (for macOS) and have attached them, in case they provide some clues to the developer.
