Prompted to update today. Completed update. All images crash during “face recovery” phase. You only need to open the image and not change any default settings. It crashes and closes with no error message.
Used Revo to perform a thorough uninstall and downloaded a full copy 2.0.0. Installed and registered. Same problem exactly.
Upgraded nVidia graphic drivers to the latest available today. No change.
System: AMD Ryzen 5900X, 64GB ram, nVidia RTX 3080 10GB, Windows 10 Pro (all updates).
This is the first bad release from Topaz that I have encountered since I purchased the bundle two years ago. Whoever signed off on this needs to be fired (out of a cannon, into the sun).
All the Topaz releases in Photo and Video AI apps are in beta and some are in pre-beta stage. Now they claim they have released brand new app. Call me skeptical. I expect daily and weekly updates of two bug fixes and three new one. For the next several months, at least I don’t think Topaz Photo AI 2.0 will be ready, and everyone will be beta testers. Its the MO of Topaz, I’m sad to say. I wish they just stick to bug fixes and stability and performance for at least a year before trying bunch of new stuff that is broken.
