Topaz on iMac no sound on mp4 output

  1. When I am processing file on iMac M4 I get no sound on h.264 MP4 output with Keep Audio turned on, only MOV output passes the sound through but the files are an order of magnitude larger.

Is there a reason you are running the older version of the app instead of a newer version for this processing?

I will have to check with the devs and see if anyone can give insight on this since it is the older version of the app.

Exporting in a ProRes MOV format will be a lot larger than an H264 MP4 format as ProRes is uncompressed.

Yes the reason I am running the older version is that I didn’t update before the licence ran out and I don’t want to dish out more money to get it especially if it doesn’t work.

You can update to any version that was released before your upgrade plan license expired.

If you need a different installer file for a different version you can find them over on the Video AI releases - community page.

I am checking with the team to try and get some input on the older format of the logs and why it works as a MOV file but not as a MP4 file.

Thanks for that. I wasn’t aware of it although I guess should have been.
I have updated to version 5.5.1 now.
However, problem is still there even though I have selected the Video Output Codec as H264 and the Container MP4 and Audio Mode as Copy. The output has no sound, but for MOV it does.
