Topaz Labs' Video AI vrs 5 still end frame dropping

Topaz Labs, please fix Video AI vrs 5 dropping the last frame on rendering. I have not been able to use your product for over eight days. Frankly, I do not see why I should pay for your product during its faulty “down time”.

I enclose all reference material you should need. Please fix this fault ASAP. Enough is enough.

The engine team is investigating this and trying to resolve the issue. Thank you for sending the logs, I will get them over to them for their review to see if they can assist with the issue.

Kyle, in the meantime is there a work around? For example, would I need to put blank handles at the head and end of a clip; import it in VAI, configure and render, then reimport it to Premiere Pro to remove the handles? Or will VAI override the handles and drop the end one anyway?

I would recommend adding a handle on the end of a single frame and run a test. If the app and model is consistently dropping one frame than it should just drop that single frame handle. I am running a test later today once I clear out my test queue for this for reporting to the team as well.

Kyle, adding a single, blank frame at the end of clips seems to alleviate this issue. And where it is a bit of a fiddle, the clip itself seems unaffected in time.

Thank you for letting me know that works for now. The team is continuing to look into this for a resolution to be included in an upcoming patch.

Same issue for me too. Checked frame rate etc. Pretty bummed as this issue makes Topaz uselss for “locked” picture useage.
