I still have this Problem:

I have to switch on face-recovery “hair” and/or “neck” in the settings to make the Software work. Otherwise, it does not enhance any image and the imge is always shown very small in the left upper border (and can not zoomed in)

In this release, working with a batch of jpg files to upscale, the process get stuck around 10 images, in my personal case. reverting back to 1.3.1 restore this to having no problems at all.

My computer is an NVIDIA GTX 5900 24GB, 64 GM of RAM, Intel 9, I expect no memory or processing problems as with prior versions, it’s a surprise this new version had this one.

Well, just an FYI,

Also, I remember bugging the tam before about setting a counter in Topaz Photo AI, I am surprised Gigapixel don’t have it, is the one that lets you know how many images of how many in total are currently being processed, it’s really useful to know when a process takes a while if we should be patient or just give up an canceling it, and the scrolling feature after each image processed is not informative at all of where in the process we are at some any point.

Thanks, have a nice day.

Ah, it also freezes in the middle of batch processing on my Mac (Mac OS 26.5.2, M4 Max, 128 GB RAM).

The UI stops responding, so I have to force quit the app.

According to the logs, after recording that the file was exported, nothing happened until the app was force quit.

I reverted to version 1.3.1, and it started working normally, so I’ll stick with that for now.

A quick test of improving a photo from Windows Spotlight Images in the browser. Originally, it was compressed and at a resolution of 1920x1080. I increased the resolution by a factor of four using three variations in Gigapixels. The first was with High Fidelity v2 to smooth the background, the second with Wonder 2 to improve most of the details, and the third with Recover v3 in high mode to further enhance details not as well improved by Wonder 2. Finally, a last pass with the Sharpen Wildlife model from Topaz Photo to slightly boost the sharpness of the parakeets.

Here is the “before/after” comparison in my image comparison tool:

Hello!
Please download from the link above and rerun the stand alone installer to repair issues.
If it continues to occur, it may require a full uninstall and fresh reinstall of the application. Users who have experienced similar issues as you’ve described resolved the problems with those steps.

We created a new thread for the batch issue. For now the solution is to revert to the previous version:

I would just like to let you know that I have been having a problem with this release. I have had to roll back to 1.3.1 on both my desktop and laptop, both running windows11, really annoying as it takes about 75 mins per rollback. On both system gigapixel would hang, if I rebooted it would do one enlargement and then hang everytime.

I encountered the same problem with version 1.3.2 on my desktop Windows 11 system.

After installing and restarting V1.3.2, the system crashed immediately when I opened an image file.

I tried completely uninstalling and reinstalling V1.3.2, but the crashing issue persisted.

I have now reinstalled V1.3.1, and it works normally.

Your issues look like something we have been investigating, and we will release a fix this week for that

It’s been a while since I’ve updated product releases… (not like the ‘old days’).

I assume if I hop a couple releases forward from what’s currently installed on my Win 11 PCs (desktop and laptop) that the latest release will include all updates - vs me having to update sequentially through multiple uninstalled releases (for TG and TP). Is that a fair assumption? Thx!

Update: I just tried to run the TG 1.3.3 install. It ran for over an hour and was still at only 3/4 of the Part 1 portion of the 2 Part install. That’s crazy and the file size is huge. I hit Cancel to stop installing. Cancel did nothing. It doesn’t stop the install process or remove what it was installing and return me to my prior release.

Because it continued on to a full install I tried to run Wonder (3) on a single image with Cloud render after nothing progressed with the Computer-based render of a preview for the whole image of a raptor in a medical facility snipped from the Web (NVIDIA 4090, Win 11). The PC render ran to roughly 50% then showed the “Finishing Up” msg the apps have been showing at the halfway point for at least 8 mos. then rendering stalled. I stopped that and tried “Cloud” render. It queued and also didn’t process. No processing status appeared. After waiting 10-12 minutes I aborted that too… I’m not going to run the install for the latest TP. Can’t afford these same issues with that too. Now I have to figure out which rel. of TG I had that was working and see if I can roll back to it.

Tried to uninstall 1.3.3 from my PC. It came up and quoted “43 Seconds Remaining” as the process launched. It’s now 5 mins. later and it reads the same thing and the progress bar is in the same spot.
