Topaz Crashes Processing Image With Painted Faces

Hi,
Topaz crashes when processing this image. On one attempt it crashed during preview, on the second during processing.

I used the default settings, in which it recognised the painted faces as actual faces and attempted to improve them. When the preview worked it seemed to have done an OK job.

On a third attempt I deselected the faces before adjusting the preview, but when I attempted to save the file I got an error “could not run model”.

Topaz Photo AI v1.3.7 on Windows

Quick update. The “could not run model” error might be a result of the previous crash. I could not process any images until I rebooted my system, after which normal service resumed for other images.

@andrew3-7835 Thanks for reaching out and uploading the files.

Please send me your system profile information so I can check if your computer hardware is up to date.
How To Obtain Your System Profile (Windows)

Try reinstalling the application. It’s possible that there are missing model files because of a buggy installer. You can download a new installer from the downloads page directly. https://topazlabs.com/downloads/

Let me know if that works.

Hi.
I think this may have been a bug in 1.3.7. I have just tested with 1.3.8 and it processed OK.

It is very unlikely that any drivers are out of date, but you can check the diagnostics here:

Thanks
