Topaz AI Video doesn't work any more

I worked with the new Topaz AI Video v4.2.1 for about an hour and experienced several confusing bugs that are too many to describe here. Then all of a sudden I could not activate any models any more, the on/off button was locked. Restarted the program, since then there is no video shown at all (see screenshot), neither the original nor the processed video. Restarted my Macbook, but this didn’t change anything.

Mac OS 12.7.4, MacBook Pro with Apple M1 Max chip and 32 GB RAM.

In the logs there is an encoder error on only one file while using the ProRes codec. If you are having all those other problems, I would uninstall the app, clear the Plist files for Video AI and then reinstall the app.
