After I export an image from Lightroom, Topas launches itself?
How do I stop ths automatic launch?

Any help greatly appriciated.

Let’s try to reset your Lightroom plugin to try and get it working for you. You can follow the directions below to reset your Lightroom plugin:

  1. Close Lightroom fully.
  2. Run the Topaz Photo AI installer again. Get a new one from the downloads page: Topaz Labs Downloads
  3. Open Lightroom and check the File > Plug-ins Extras again.

Let me know if those steps get it working again.

Hmmmm.

I did that.

Closed LR.

Ran the installer; it offered the option to “repair” or “remove”, I chose “repair”

It seemed to go thru an install procedure for about 3 minutes and seemed to complete that successfully.

I then open LR and exported a photo (to my desktop and did not open it in Topaz) and Topaz opened in about 15 seconds and had the exported image in the window.

I looked at File > Plug-ins Extras and Topaz shows up. ( I did not open Topaz that way. Or another way.)

That is exactly what had happened before.

BTW; I find Topaz photo FANTASTIC!

Thanks for sending in that information.

I want to see if updating your GPU driver will resolve the problem, as there is a more up-to-date driver that has been released.

But I finally realized that the issue must be with Lightroom.

So, I found in the export window, one of the options is what to do after export.

I must have somehow accidentally ticked the “open Topaz” option.

I changed it to “do nothing” and the problem is solved.

Thanks for your help.

I could update my GPU driver anyway.
