Hi Everyone,
I updated the app, but now I can’t launch it. There is no way to get any log files.
I included the MacOS System Report
Thank you,
Antonino
The application doesn’t launch at all after updating from 7.0 to 7.1

UPDATE:
I performed a complete uninstall and then a new clean install of 7.1.
No success.
Afterwards, another complete uninstall and a clean install of 7.0.
Now the application starts and works.
Starting with version 6.0.3, Intel-based Macs have not been part of our officially supported system requirements. While these systems could still run Video AI up to version 7.0.2, they became fully unsupported as of version 7.1.0 and will no longer launch the app.
Even when earlier versions run, Intel Macs are generally underpowered for the kind of resource-intensive AI processing Video AI uses, so performance and stability can be limited.
For the best performance and full compatibility with current and future updates, we recommend using Video AI on an Apple Silicon Mac (M Chip) that meets our current system requirements.
Version 7 works well with me. Yes, it’s not fast and, as you said, not optimised. I will update to 7.0.2.
It’s a shame you didn’t make it compatible with Intel. I can’t upgrade to an M chip computer; therefore, I will be forced not to renew my subscription when it expires.
Does 7.1.0 works on Intel Mac?
When I trying to start app after install it crashes immediately when login form appears on screen or when it trying to check license at start (both macOS/login and main app) with:
Exception Type: EXC_BAD_ACCESS (SIGSEGV)
Termination Reason: Namespace SIGNAL, Code 11, Segmentation fault: 11
7.0.2 haven’t those issues.
Hi.
I know how to revert to 7.0.2. And 7.0.2 works on same system as 7.1.0 doesn’t.
So the question is specifically about version 7.1.0 and not any previous.
Yes, I tried it. And only VRAM size doesn’t meet system reqs. But those specs are also for 7.0.2 and VRAM size doesn’t crash 7.0.2 at start on LOGIN STAGE.
It does seem as you, originally thought a compatibility issue with Intel Macs.
Topaz Video AI is optimised for Apple Silicon and as new updates appear then there’s going to be a point at which Intel Macs are no longer going to be compatible and the only solution or workaround is to revert back to version 7.0.2 until someone who is more knowledgeable about Apple Macs can help or Topaz Support contact you
Because, as I mentioned in my original reply I’m not a Mac user just trying to help
Please Note: Intel-based Mac systems are not officially supported beyond Video AI v6.0.3. Though some systems may run later releases, 6.0.4 and later versions may introduce system instability.
Clearly there isn’t support for Intel Macs in version 7.
The latest release of 7.1 has shown that Intel Macs are unable to run it, while official support for Video AI stopped at 6.0.3. Some users have been able to run up to v7.0.2 though despite that.
Hi,
What it’s strange that with the same hardware but with Windows you can continue to use it with last update…
Also I paid for one year update but Topaz Company don’t respect the contract tu supply a functional version. It’s the same with Gigapixel AI but not yet with photo AI that still work.
Regards,
Please write in directly to the support team so we can look further into this and see what can be done.
The issue with Intel Mac’s are due to the way the app runs on these systems and with changes from the OSX side of things. The team is still trying to work with Apple on this.
