Try setting the GPU to be the AI Processor and lowering the max memory %.
Open the Preferences Panel and change the following settings.
File>Preferences>Processing
- Ensure that your GPU is selected for the AI Processor
- Set the max memory to 80%
- Set max processes to 1
- Save the settings and close the panel.
- Re-run your clip through the process that you were trying.
It looks like running the models Nyx and Rhea XL is causing some issues as the AI Processor is set to Auto instead of your GPU.
Isn’t it about time Topaz got rid of that useless Auto setting? It seems more likely to cause problems or hinder performance. Also, wasn’t it TOPAZ that changed the AI Processor to Auto in a previous version without users knowing (around the time of your Pro version multi GPU changes)? There was a fix eventually in ONE later version but my theory is that if for some reason the user skipped that version, then it would remain as Auto.
Unless you or anyone else can give a counter-example of where Auto is beneficial?
Thanks.
Andy
So i have to use 1 model at a time, even though im using a 4090?
No you can still run more than one model but trying to run two of the heaviest models in the app is most likely going to cause issues even with a 4090 at this time. The team is working on improving how the models run and access the VRAM on the GPU.
There was a version release that had a bug that reset the AI processor to Auto and that was patched. The later versions all still have that patch built in so that the app will retain what the user sets it to.
Auto can be beneficial for some users who are running lower spec systems but I do not have a specific example to share at this time.
