Stuck at analyzing image

When I open an image in Topaz, it gets stuck in “analyzing image” which is the first thing that happens even before I have the chance to do anything else. Why is that?

Hi Ali.

Stuck in Analysing Image normally is an indication you haven’t got enough VRAM to run the Model you have selected the minimum recommendation is 6-GB VRAM but really you at least 8-GB although it may work with 6 your computer will run

Here’s the System requirements

Here’s a few more steps you can follow that may help

You were asking why Topaz Photo gets stuck on ‘Analyzing,’ but also why that analysis happens in the first place.

The short answer is that every image is unique. Because different photos have varying levels of digital noise, different types of blur, and unique lighting, Topaz cannot use a ‘one-size-fits-all’ approach.

During that initial Analysing phase, then Autopilot scans your specific image to diagnose its unique flaws. Based on that analysis,

Autopilot automatically decides:

For Noise: Which specific Denoising Model to use and the exact Strength required.

For Blur: What type of blur is present like Motion or Lens Blur so it can apply the correct Sharpen model and slider levels.

For Structure: It detects faces and isolates the main subject so it knows exactly where to apply those fixes.

Hope this helps
